"Anything from the trolley Anything from the trolley," The voice of the old lady carries down the train and as expected Ron gets up.

"Anything from the trolley, dears?" She said as she gets to us.

"Packet of Drooble's... and a Licorice Wand. On second thought, just the Droobles," Ron said as he was short a few coins.

"lt's all right, I'll get it. Don't worry," Harry said I decided to grab some every flavour beans for me and Hermione to share later it was like our thing.

"Just the Droobles. Thanks," Ron said.

"Two Pumpkin Pasties, please. Thank you," A girl said.

"Anything sweet for you, dear?" The lady said to Harry.

"Oh, no, I'm not hungry. Thank you," Harry said clearly thrown off by the sight of the girl.

"Anything from the trolley?" Said the lady as she continued on.

"This is horrible. How can the Ministry not know who conjured it? Wasn't there any security or," Hermione said reading the paper as I sat next to her.

"Loads, according to Dad. That's what worried them so much. Happened right under their noses," Ron said.

"And my Dad is saying that the attack is proof that even if he is gone you know who's influence is still as strong as ever," I said.

"lt's hurting again, isn't it? Your scar," Hermione said seeing Harry's face.

"I'm fine," Harry said.

"You know Sirius will want to hear about this... what you saw at the World Cup and the dream," Hermione said so Harry sent him a letter.

When we get to Hogwarts we see Hagrid flagging down a flying carriage.

"Clear the runway!" He said but is forced to jump out of the way of the carriage.

"Well, there's something you don't see every day," Fred said as Hermione hugs my arm hoping Hagrid is alright.

"Well, now that we're all settled in and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement. This castle will not only be your home this year... but home to some very special guests as well. You see, Hogwarts has been chosen," Dumbledore said before he talks to Filch.

"So Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Triwizard Tournament," Dumbledore said.

"Wicked," Said the twins.

"For those of you who do not know... the Triwizard Tournament brings together three schools... for a series of magical contests. From each school, a single student is selected to compete. Now let me be clear. if chosen, you stand alone. And trust me when l say... these contests are not for the faint-hearted. But more of that later. For now, please join me in welcoming... the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic... and their headmistress, Madame Maxime," Dumbledore said.

The doors opened and a large number of girls came out and did a display for us and it wasn't half bad.

"Blimey. That's one big woman," Seamus said as who I assumed is Madame Maxime walked past.

"And now our friends from the north. Please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang... and their high master, lgor Karkaroff," Dumbledore said.

Once again we were given an impressive display but this lot were much more upbeat and lively.

"Oh, Blimey, it's him! Viktor Krum!" Ron said as he passed us.

"Albus," Igor said.

"lgor," Dumbledor said as they hugged.

As we ate our food I could see out of the corner of my eye that Hermione kept glancing at me so I decided to ask her why.

"Something wrong," I said.

"No," Hermione said.

"Really because you have been glancing at me every 5 minutes," I said.

"It's nothing really," Hermione said.

"Fine if you don't want to tell me now tell me later over these," I said showing her the beans and she smiled at me.

"Your attention, please! I'd like to say a few words. Eternal glory. That is what awaits the student who wins the Triwizard Tournament. But to do this, students must survive three tasks. Three extremely dangerous tasks. For this reason, the Ministry has seen fit to impose a new rule. To explain all this... we have the head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation... Mr. Bartemius Crouch," Dumbledore said.

Before Barty can say anything the ceiling goes mad with thunder and lightning and soon man I know as Alastor Moody fixes it.

"Bloody hell. lt's Mad-Eye Moody," Ron says.

"Alastor Moody? The Auror?" Hermione said.

"Auror?" Tomas said.

"Dark-wizard catcher. As the legend has it half the cells in Azkaban are filled thanks to him," I said.

"He's supposed to be mad as a hatter, though, these days," Ron said and I shrugged as he was not wrong.

I see him exchange a few words with Dumbledore before he goes off to a corner and took a sip of something in a flask.

"What's that he's drinking, do you suppose?" Samus said

"l don't know, but l don't think it's pumpkin juice," I said not liking this.

"After due consideration... the Ministry has concluded that, for their own safety... no student under the age of 17... shall be allowed to put forth their name for the Triwizard Tournament. This decision is final," Barty said as a bunch of kids began to yell in objection.

"That's rubbish! That's rubbish! You don't know what you're doing!" The twins yelled.

"Silence!" Dumbledore yelled.

Dumble door ran his hands over something as it dissolved to revile a stone goblet with a blue flame in the centre.

"The Goblet of Fire. Anyone wishing to submit themselves to the tournament need only write their name upon a piece of parchment and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly. If chosen, there's no turning back. As of this moment, the Triwizard Tournament has begun," Dumbledore said.

"Let the games begin," I said.

Later as I was in the common room Hermione came over and took me to an empty corner clearly she wanted to talk about something.

"What's up," I asked.

"Nothing just all of the stuff with the world cup and now the Triwizard Tournament," Hermione said.

"You think there may be a connection," I said.

"I'm hoping not," Hermien said.

"Don't worry, I can keep you safe," I said and she blushed.
