Chapter 9

Grocery disaster

3rd pov:

You went down stares, you saw that almost everyone is glaring at Venti and Mara smirking deviously. You immediately know that she's thinking something and is planing to do something that's not good. "what's wrong?" you asked "ohh nothing, nothing at all" Mara responded smirk growing bigger with a amused glint in her eyes.

"so what's for breakfast?" you ask "there's waffles in the table" Aether said with a smile like nothing happened awhile ago. You nodded and said your thanks then went to the table and eat your breakfast.

You noticed that the food stocks are running out so you noted to yourself that you will go and buy groceries. Once you finished eating, and washed your plate. You went back to your room and got dressed. As you descend your way downstairs Childe ask "where are you going?" "I'm going to buy groceries we're running out of food" you responded "can I come please?" he pleaded "sure, get dressed first" you said "can I come too?" Mara ask "no, two people is enough, you look after them" you said to her "okay" she pouted.

Childe came back "let's go" he said going to the garage, you followed "we'll be back in an hour or so, behave everyone, you told the others and they nodded" and also I locked the bar you guys aren't allowed to drink unless I say so " " also is there anything you guys want? No? Okay" you said. You heard Childe call for you to hurry up, you shouted okay and went to go the grocery store.

Once you leave Mara suddenly said "so you guys like Miya?" they flinch, she chuckle "don't worry I wont tell, unless you guys did something I don't like, and good luck with that she's quite dense haha" and she went back to what she's previously doing. The air is tick and Mara just made it ticker with her words. She didn't read the room, like always.

You and Childe arrived at the grocery store and got out. You took a shopping cart and went to the food aisle. Childe sometimes help you when you can't reach the product from the shelf. "well aren't you a small one?" he teased holding the product your trying to reach higher, you looked at him blankly and jump successfully taking it and go in the next aisle, you ignore him after that. "hey sorry I won't do it again" he said nonstop he got ignored "I'm sorry I won't tease you like that again I promise" he pleaded holding onto your arm. You sigh "okay okay I forgive you, just don't do it again it make me irritated" he perks up and hug you from behind taking it as a reason for a hug "thank you" he said genuinely happy you smiled "cmon let's finish shopping we don't want the others to wait" and you guys continue with your business.

"You can pick something you want" you told him "anything?" "yes" and he left, when he came back he brought alot of chips then dumped it at the cart. "thats all?" you ask and he nodded.

"Childe can you go to the drink aisle and find these?" you gave Childe a paper of goods "sure" he took it and went on his way. "Also bring a basket with you so you can carry things easier " pointing at the shopping basket. He took it and went on his way... again.

He came back with the drink you wanted you inspect it making sure he took the right brand. "hey whats this? Alcohol? I thought you don't drink much?" he questioned holding the soda bottle "hmm? Oh that's soda or softdrink, it's not an alcohol" you told him "you never had one?" "well yeah" he said, you chuckle " do you want to try?" he nodded "yep I want to try something new plus it looks good, it's alot" he sweat drop while looking at the drinks. "you'll see once you try one. Let go were done" you guys went to the cashier.

When you guys are close to the cashier robbers suddenly showed up holding a gun "Don't move! Or we'll shoot!!" one of the robbers said while he shot his gun, the people in the shop shout terrified. You aswell were terrified you crouch in fear while Childe hugged you protectively. You silently went to your phone and call the police, luckily the robbers didn't notice because you were hiding behind the aisle.

"don't worry I'll protect you, your going to be okay" Childe told you making you calm a little bit. You hoped the police will come immediately but fate is not in your side and one of the robbers went to you guys "oh look this two looks like they have a lot of money" the robber said to his friends. 'well you look like you have alot of hair' you thought to the robber that is bald.

He went to grab your arm roughly and pulled you to him making you yelp and get out of Chile's grasp "well your certainly a beauty" he chuckle and Childe is raged into this how dare he take you and hurt you. "I'll take your girlfriend for a bit, don't worry I'll take good care of her" he said in such a creepy way. 'That's it!' Childe thought and used his delusion to shock the robber making him lose his grip on to you, you kick him in his jewel making him fully let go of you. He was about to yell for his friends but Childe covered his mouth while glaring at him with pure hatred making the bald robber shiver in fear. "shout and I'll kill you" he said in a threatening manner, the bald robber nodded fearfully. You also got scared in his tone and try to calm him down. "calm down the police will arrive soon" you said with a noticeable quiver in your voice. Chilled thought your still scared of the robber and tighten his grip on him.

The police arrived and arrested the robbers without too much of a scene. Luckily.

You guys are in the car with your groceries. You two were quiet in the whole way to the car. "thanks" you said your still tense about the incident. "it's okay sorry you have to see that sight of me it's not really a good impression" he said in a lowering voice. "no it's fine you protected me so im thankful for that" you resured him "really? Your not scared of me?" he ask hopefully "yep why would I be scared of you?" you ask and he smiled brightly and hugged you. He's sitting beside you in the car. "it's nothing" he said.

You just remember something, you let go of the hug making him confused "here I did promise that I'll give you once we're done" you handed him a soda. He took it and drink from it. You waited for his reaction. "wow! It's like popping in my mouth" he told you "do you like it?" you ask he nodded "yup! I love it!" "let's go back home now" you said.

Once you got home you two are greeted with worried faces "are you guys okay!?" Amber said "yes we're okay Childe protected me" you gesture to Childe who's still drinking his soda,(he took another one while at the ride) "that's a relief," "how did you guys know?" you ask "I saw it in the internet! Do you know how worried I was!?" Mara shouted hugging you tightly "yes yes I'm fine see? Let's go inside first.

You guys went inside after you calm them down and told what happened. They sigh in relief.

" what are you drinking?" Kaeya asked Childe." *gasp* are you drinking alcohol!? I thought Miya said not to drink!? This is unfair!" Venti said dramatically. "it's not alcohol idiot it's soda or softdrink" Childe said rolling his eyes. "can Paimon have one to?" Paimon ask you "of course" and went to grab one for her Qiqi and Klee. "look it's sizzling inside" Paimon observe and drank it aswell as Klee, Qiqi just looked at the drink in a daze (I think mesmerize at the bubbles) "it's popping in my mouth!" Klee said while Paimon agreed. Soon enough everyone get their own drinks. Looks like lunch will be delayed a little.
