Chapter 33
Recap:
“So you didn’t go to hang out with Jasmine then?”
“No, of course not Tina.”
“Okay sorry. I just got nervous because I thought she might’ve texted you or someth-“
I was interrupted when I heard a voice in the background.
“Justin, did you want another drink? Get off the phone!”
It was Jasmine’s voice.
**
As soon as I heard her voice I suddenly felt murderous. Not only did Justin lie to me, but he lied to me to hang out with Jasmine Villegas. What the hell.
I didn’t want to hear Justin’s crap, so I hung up the phone right then and there and decided it was probably time to get out of this hotel and go somewhere; I needed to get my mind off Justin for now. But where could I go?
I realized that earlier we were supposed to go to Tim Hortons, but we never ended up going. I might as well go there, nothing better to do.
I called a cab and waited up in the lobby for it, and then finally the cab arrived and I told the driver to take me to the nearest Tim Hortons.
I ended up getting a coffee and a pack of 20 Timbits, these small round little doughnuts. I got 20 because I figured I could share the leftovers with Kaley when I got home. I ended up eating all the chocolate ones and leaving the rest for Kaley. She could deal with it.
I finished my coffee and tried to figure out where else I could go. I didn’t want to go back to the hotel yet.
I tossed my empty coffee cup in the trash and walked right out of there. I looked across the street and noticed there were a few nice designer stores, so I decided I would do a little more shopping. Why not splurge a little bit?
I looked at the street name and noticed it was Robson Street. Judging by all the designer stores, I figured this was the place to shop in Vancouver.
I walked into the Guess store and instantly was noticed by a girl working there, who obviously knew who either me or my parents were, because she looked pretty determined to come and help me.
“Hello there miss Stevenson, may I help you?”
She sounded way too eager, and she knows my last name. Obviously she knew who I was.
“Uh, I think I’m fine right now, just browsing around. Thank you though.”
“Okay! Well let me know if you need any help!”
I walked around the store and looked at the various dresses, skirts, and cute floral print tank tops on display for spring. I picked out a pretty pastel coloured floral dress trimmed with lace, a pair of denim shorts, and a cute pale pink tank top. I went to the dressing room to try them on and there was the overly eager worker again.
“How many items do you have there? Three? Okay I’m going to get your room ready for you, nice choices by the way!”
She smiled at me and walked away with the clothes I had picked up while I just thanked her and then chuckled to myself.
Finally my room was ready and everything I tried on looked pretty cute, so I decided to just buy all of it. Who cared how much it cost right?
Finally I was done and I figured it was time to go back to the hotel and talk to Justin. I had calmed down quite a bit and was ready to talk to him like a civilized human being, without going into full attack mode.
