For years the Aarakocra protected these lands, worshiped their gods, and raised their young in the freedom of the lands, that soon changed when the humans from the south started attacking and conquering the Aarakocra. Among these clans lived a peaceful group called the Paal. The Paal lived in service of the moon and raised their young in, what they called, The Wudjyr Kdaav (Land of silver blood). The land was full of untouched silver, a perfect way for man to make money. Once the land was taken by a power-hungry Lord he was quick to enslave the Paal and forced them to mine away at the land they once held dear

Years have passed and the people of the Paal have grown weaker and divided from their once devoted past. The leader of the Paal watched as his people returned to their hut at yet another long day's work in the mines. Young children, women, and men slumped out of the mines so tired and weak to even eat and had to continue the cycle the following day. His heart felt heavy as he watched as a mother of a young child collapsed by her daughter's feet. He walked over and helped the mother up. Her feathers looked dull and the small child looked at the old Aarakocran and he met her eyes. Her feathers, like her mother, were a dull black, but her eyes shined in the moonlight. As the old bird looked into the child's eyes and gazed into the child's eyes he was overcome with the sense he hadn't felt in a long time. He seemed to get lost until the child spoke. Her voice was almost like a whisper and it spoke in fear, almost as if she spoke any louder a guard would cut he tongue out. "Can you help my mama, she's been sick for a long time, and I already lost my papa." The elder looked between the little bird and her mother and led the two to his hut. Even though he was the clan leader he still had similar housing to his kinsmen. The young  Aarakocran watched as the elder laid her mother down on the floor and he started to mix up something for the three of them to eat.

As the elder started to serve the food the young child was looking up at the moon, seeing how young she was, she hadn't yet been more than a year. "you must be proud of your daughter, she has grown into a beautiful young Aarakocra" the elder said as the mother caught him looking "I am, I'm just worried for her future, the lord is already wanting her to mate even though she is very young." Her feathers seemed to shiver at the thought of her daughter having to mate like cattle rather than for love. The elder smiled and walked over to the young bird. he reached out to touch the young girl with one of his talons, as he grazed one of her feathers a vision caused him to fall back startling the young girl and her mother. "You, my young Raven! You are to give birth to our Massiah!" he said laughing on the floor like a mad man. "Your firstborn child is to be born as our savior!" The elder laughed with joy on the floor as others surrounded the hut listening to the man's vision. "I saw a young boy born in the dead of winter with eyes and feathers dark as night!" he continued to speak as the young Aarakocran looked scared by what the elder was saying, while the mother sat looking amazed and hopeful at her daughter. "He will save our people from the Human Lord!" as he shouted the people cheered and the young girl looked horrified.
