"And last but not least this is the crows nest." Wooyoung finished pointing up towards the area on the main mast. "I spend a lot of time up there." He stated, putting both hands in his pockets as he looked up at the nest.
I smiled over at him as I watched him squint up at the crows nest, seemingly deep in thought. Then he suddenly snapped his gaze to look at me with big innocent eyes, "What?" He simply asked as he realized my stare.
But before I could explain a smirk slowly started to form on his face and he nudged me with his elbow, "Like what you see?"
Just rolling my eyes in response I turned my gaze back up towards the nest, "Can I go up there?" I questioned tilting my head and pointing up at it.
Wooyoung merely shrugged in response, "Sure. Just don't die."
Squinting slightly under the harsh sun I peered up at it again and quickly stated, "You know I don't think I'd die from a fall like that. I'd just get really hurt. You know?"
Rolling his eyes Wooyoung grabbed hold of a rope and tugged on it slightly to make sure it was sturdy, "Okay yeah whatever love. Just grab hold of the rope and you know climb on up there. I'll be behind you to catch you if you fall."
Reaching out I grabbed the rope from his hands and looked back up towards the crows nest, "Okay." I started, "Let's see if I can still do this."
I was more or less muttering it to myself, but Wooyoung must have heard it because a small snort left his mouth and he went to put his arms around me, "Want me to carry you up there?"
Deciding it'd be best not to respond to him I rolled my eyes and pushed him away before simply beginning my climb up the main mast towards the crows nest. Now at first I was very slow and kind of wobbly, but after getting into a rhythm of things I began to go faster. Only really ever giving Wooyoung a heart attack maybe once.
My legs ache slightly, my lungs were out of air, and my hands were going to hurt a little bit tomorrow, but it was all worth it once I looked out at the world around me from this angle. The wide expanse of sea in front of me was breathtaking. Especially how the light dazzled and reflected off of the water up towards the sky. I felt a large sigh escape my lips as my body relaxed and all but melted into the railing in front of me. It was peaceful, calm, and made me truly miss being out at sea more often.
Now of course my peace can't last for too long cause Wooyoung had to join me. He took the spot on the railing next to me and rubbed his hands together as he stared out at the ocean, "Peaceful right?"
I just nodded my head in response as he continued with a loud sigh, "You know I was thinking-"
"Well that's dangerous." I cut him off without really thinking as I continued to stare out at the ocean. He went quiet for a moment and I turned to see him glaring at the side of my head. Giggling slightly I just shrugged, "Just saying."
Wooyoung rolled his eyes at me and let out another sigh, "As I was saying. I was thinking and was wanting to ask you something." He paused and looked over at me for permission, even though he'd ask me regardless.
So I motioned for him to continue and he took a deep breath before saying, "Why do you want to get the jewel? Is there a wish you want to make?"
My eyes narrowed out at the water and then I looked down at my hands playing with the ring on my finger once more, "I'd rather not talk about it."
"Oh come on." Wooyoung stated nudging my side, "Is it about a guy? Or is it about money? It can't be anything you can't tell us. Just can't be." He reasoned with himself more than me.
I rolled my eyes and stood up straighter as I gazed out at the sea. Shooting the question right back at him I asked, "What about you? Why do you guys want the jewel so bad?"
