As soon as the sound reached my ears I felt myself squeeze my arms tighter around Wooyoung who had one hand on the railing and the other wrapped around me. "We need to get out of the nest." He mumbled against my ear.
Nodding my head to the best of my ability I quickly scrambled down the ladder, nearly falling off when a cannon ball went fast beside me into the water on the other side of the ship. Which made me only quicken my pace before finally landing on the deck below.
The men on board the ship were fully awake, and running around. Over the crowd I could hear screaming from Jongho, Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and Mingi. All of them giving orders to different groups of men. Then I finally saw San stalking the deck towards some of our own cannons.
I was about to go ask Jongho what I could do when Wooyoung grabbed me by my shoulders and started pushing me towards the captain's quarters as a voice from above, belonging to Hongjoong, "Get her someplace safe Wooyoung, and then get your butt back out there to help out."
Wanting to argue I was left with no choice as I watched the captain pace the upper deck. So I let Wooyoung basically shove me into the captain's quarters, "Sorry Skye, but this is for your own good." He stated.
Then he looked around before reaching at something at his belt, "Here take this." He revealed a gun and my eyes wiedneded at the sight.
"Are you sure?" I asked as I gripped it in my hands.
"Yes. Just be careful okay?" He answered before slamming the door shut behind him as he ran out to join the crew.
I shoved the gun into my belt and then my hands immediately found my hair and I let my hands curl into fists around it. Mind racing I began pacing the room when another figure stormed into the room. His blonde hair swirling all over the place as he frantically looked around the room, and when his eyes landed on mine I felt myself relax, a little, not much tho.
He practically ran across the room to pull me into his arms, "I'm going to protect you."
A smile landed on my face despite the situation as I held him back, "Then I've got you covered." I reached down as I pulled away from him and patted the spot on my belt where San's knife laid.
Yeosang chuckled and then said in a low whisper, "Just letting you know we should be fine in here."
As soon as the words left his lips the screams outside became more apparent, and I flinched back. Especially when the door to the captain's quarters bursted open, and three men barged in.
My blue eyes widened as they made eye contact with the first male. "You're kidding me." I breathed as Yeosang adjusted his gun to point at the intruders.
The blonde didn't move his weapon down, but he did quickly question, "What? Do you know them?"
Biting down on the inside of my cheeks I felt anger bubble up in my stomach as I examined the two other men. The caramel eyes burning into my eyes with a fiery passion, and the other two with excited expressions staring back at my figure.
"Long time no see Skye." The man spoke with a sly smile on his face as he adjusted his gun towards Yeosang.
A dark chuckle left my mouth as I said, "You too Peter. I thought I'd seen the last of you on that little pier in Port Royal."
Peter tilted his head back as he laughed, "Yeah I did too, but when Mr. Harold decided to call me up to hunt you down, I couldn't pass it up."
My arms crossed over my chest as I nodded along with his words, "How am I surprised? You were never one to not go for a good hunt."
