it's been a month since the painful breakup.

junhui and joshua went on their own ways, they didn't try to bother contacting one another anymore. they really moved on, they finally don't have each other in their life. it feels new. it feels absolutely different. they felt more free. there's nothing that can burden them at this rate.

junhui got a promotion from his job, he became one of the bosses, he achieved his dream of being a man in a black suit, having his hair up as his forehead is showing. the pressure of hanging out with someone isn't there anymore.

joshua and his two friends, seungcheol and jeonghan moved in together. the older didn't mind being the third wheel of the two. seeing both of them happy together made his heart flutter. he was happy to see them in a happy relationship.

but days went by, jeonghan has been going to joshua, "here's the guy you're going on a date with" he says, showing a photo to which made joshua sigh, looking at jeonghan with a sense of judgement on his face. he rolls his eyes and continues what he was doing.

"come on, you'll like him! you seem a bit too lonely" jeonghan whined, looking at his phone, scrolling through more photos of the date, the american looks at the older, "han, i'm still going through a break up. i can't just date anyone now! plus i don't even know his name or age!"

"lee seokmin, two years younger."

"no"

"you're literally no fun" joshua smiles as he stood up from his seat, putting his bag over his shoulder, avoiding eye contact with the blonde. he appreciates how jeonghan is setting him up with the most random people, but he couldn't just yet.

ever since the breakup, he never felt so free to do what ever he wants. he doesn't have to panic about what to wear so his partner won't have to judge him.

he closes the door behind him, taking a deep breathe as he heads to the elevator, pressing on the button thats going down. he hums a bit, waiting for it to go to his level.

the door opens.

he steps inside, without noticing who he was with.

"joshua?" the person mutters, looking at the boy who stayed in the corner. joshua looked up at the person who said his name, leaving him in shock.

"jun? what are you doing here?"

"i had a meeting somewhere here, i went to the tenth floor and then heard it was in the fifth floor, i panicked and got lost and now i'm here" junhui laughs, as his dusts off the jacket of his suit. joshua giggles along with him, he hasn't changed one bit. though he looks a bit more refreshed.

"it sucks to see you doing better" joshua whispers in between giggles.

"sorry what?"

"nothing."

and it was just pure silence, the elevator was being painfully slow. awkwardness filled the air, running out of topics to talk about.

"so how's your heart after breaking mine?" joshua asked bluntly without thinking, making the younger flustered. joshua then realized what he said, he panics as well, "n-nevermind, don't answer that."

jun purses his lips as the elevator door opens, he steps out as joshua follows.

"i'm going this way" joshua points to the right as he notices junhui going to the opposite direction. the other nods.

"alright, it's good to see you again, joshua. good bye" jun smiles as he starts walking to where his meeting is.

"good bye" joshua waves, smiling as he sees jun slowly running to the door. he finds himself smiling at the cute figure. he shakes his thoughts and scolds himself for asking such thing.

he sees the door close and his smiles disappears.

"but i hope this isn't the last one."

and just like that, ennui ends with a painful smile on ones face. now knowing why love could be such a pain in the ass.

the end.
