Prologue

Khushi was seated alone in her bedroom. It was dinner time but she was lost in her thoughts. A cool wind was blowing outside. Light blue color curtains which Khushi changed after a lot of cajoling & sweet arguments with her husband were flowing with the air. It was lovely weather outside. Any other day, Khushi would have spent her time at the poolside area but today her mood was gloomy, opposite to the weather. She was pondering about her married life. After the 2nd marriage, everything was going fine. In fact, she was very happy. Life was bliss. But suddenly everything changed. Khushi was a family person. Her family was very important to her. Perhaps the importance of family increased for her because she lost her parents in childhood. That's why she took great care of every member of the family. But sometimes when we care for someone so much, they don't appreciate that love. All these thoughts were running in Khushi's mind. When she finally went downstairs for dinner, the whole family was busy gossiping. There was a tightness in her heart, no one missed her or remembered her. She was a 21 years old girl who lost her parents at a very young age. Recently she went through a lot. So obviously she felt insecure when her family ignored her. If only her family ignored her she may not have been so depressed, but when her own husband was ignoring her she couldn't take it. Negative thoughts surrounded her like in a storm, dark clouds surrounded the sun. Her brightness was diminishing day by day but neither her family nor husband noticed it. They all were busy in their own world & Khushi was fading away alone in the darkness. Whenever anything like this happened in her childhood, she used to fight with her Babuji, Amma & Jiji. Sometimes even deliberately. She always wanted her family's attention & they always obliged. She wanted to shout & ask them why they didn't miss her. Why they didn't notice her absence? But she didn't do anything. She silently cried in her heart & kept quiet.
