It is early morning as the sun rises. At the dorm, Karen Aijou (Momoyo Koyama) still asleep on her bed. The sound of alarm blares around the room. Karen moves her hand and shut the alarm. Few minutes later, her phone rings. Karen groans and picks up her phone.
"Hello," said Karen, sleepy.
"BAKAREN! WAKE UP OR YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE!" yelled Hikari, causing her to fall from her bed.
Karen glances towards the clock.
"I am late!" yelled Karen as she rushes out.
At the school gate, Hikari Kagura (Suzuko Mimori) and Mahiru Tsuyuzaki (Haruki Iwata) stand nearby, looking at the students that just arrive.
"She's late, again," said Hikari, annoyed.
The bell rings indicating the beginning of school time. The raven girl sighs.
"Let's go, Mahiru. We don't want to be late," said Hikari as she walks in, followed by Mahiru.
Moments later, Karen runs into the school compound and towards the building.
At the hall, all the students sit on their seats facing the stage. Maya Tendo (Maho Tomita) walks on the stage and stands in front of the podium. At the side of the stage Claudine Saijou (Aina Aiba) stands while holding a stack of papers.
"My name is Maya Tendo, the student council president and Third Year students. I would welcome you to Seisho High School. I also welcome new students to this school and I hope you enjoy your school life here," said Maya Tendo.
The students listen to the speech.
Later the trio head towards the class.
"You already got your warning. The next time you're late, you will be on detention," scolded Hikari.
"Calm down Hikari-chan. I am pretty sure she learn her lesson by now," said Mahiru.
"She's been like this since elementary school, Mahiru," said Hikari.
"I know since I also in the same elementary school as you two," said Mahiru.
Hikari looks at Karen and realizes her school bag is not with her.
"Karen, where is your bag?" asked Hikari.
Karen looks at her side and realizes she didn't bring it.
"I forgot," said Karen, unsure.
Mahiru loks at Hikari's face that turned red in anger.
"BaKaren!" yelled Hikari.
At the student council room, Maya checks on paperwork as Claudine on her side, looking at the report. The door opens and Juuna Hoshimi (Hinata Sato) walks in.
"Excuse me. I need to send this report," said Juuna.
"Thank you, Hoshimi-san," said Maya as she takes the report.
Juuna nods as she walks out. Maya reads the reports.
"Looks like the clubs are decreasing," said Claudine.
"With rumor is going on, not to mention that last entry are barely minimum, it is understandable," said Maya.
Claudine looks at Maya.
"Hopefully at our next Open House, we can attract more students to join our school. It is sad when this school that being exist for 2000 years are closing down because of lack of the students," said Claudine.
"It wasn't our job to figure that out. All we can do is to keep govern our students and represent our students towards school administration," said Maya.
"I agree," said Claudine.
At lunch, the trio eat their lunchbox. Karen looks at Nana Daiba (Moeka Koizumi) gives pamphlets about her club to other students.
"Karen."
She looks at Hikari.
"Starting tomorrow, we will come to your room and wake you up," said Hikari.
"We?" asked Mahiru.
"Yes. I don't want to be the only one dragging her butt to the school," said Hikari as Mahiru giggles.
Hikari looks at Karen that walks towards them, holding the pamphlet. She sits beside her raven best friend and opens the pamphlet. Mahiru looks at the pamphlet.
"Stage Idol Research Club. I heard about that club," said Mahiru.
"But what happen to that club?" asked Karen.
"What I have heard, Daiba-sempai created the club with some students when she was first year. Then few month later, the members decided to resign because they believe Daiba-sempai's expectation was to high for them to achieve," said Mahiru.
Nearby, Futaba Isurugi (Teru Ikuta) eats her lunch as Kaoruko Hanayagi (Ayasa Itou) lies on her lap, eating ice cream.
"Kaoruko, you're going to dirty my skirt," said Futaba.
"I am just tired from practice my dancing this morning," whined Kaoruko.
"You are the heir of the school so you need to make sure your dance is perfect," said Futaba.
"I prefer watching stage performances than dancing. In fact, I bought the famous stage play box from the internet yesterday," said Kaoruko.
"That's explain where you spend you allowances," said Futaba with a grin.
"Shut up," growled Kaoruko.
After school, as Hikari and Mahiru head towards their club, Karen wonders around the town. She arrives at Siegfeld Academy as the crowds gather in front of the screen. Akira Yukishiro (Hotaru Nomoto) appears on the screen.
"Everyone, Siegfeld stageplay 'The Rising Moon' will be held next week so see you there," said Akira.
The crowds disperse, leaving Karen in her thought.
At night, Karen sits in front of her laptop, looking at the stage play. Nearby, her homework are still empty. 'Wow, Stage Girls are really awesome. Just like when Hikari-chan and I watched it when we were little' thinks Karen.
The next day at the 2nd Year classroom, Mahiru and Hikari look at Karen.
"You want to establish Stage Idol Club?" asked Hikari.
"Yes. We create a club that we can do stageplay," said Karen.
Hikari rubs her forehead.
"I am okay with it but I am not sure if I have the brilliance or talent on becoming a stage actor," said Mahiru.
"Mahiru-chan," said Karen as she hugs her best friend.
"I still don't think it is a good idea," said Hikari.
"Come on, Hikari-chan. What is the worst thing could happen?" asked Karen.
"Knowing you, we have a novel to prove it," said Hikari
Karen pouts and Mahiru giggles.
Meanwhile at the chairwoman's room, Chairwoman Tsuyuzaki (Ai Kayano) looks at the students registration and sighs. 'This is problematic. If this keeps up, this school will be closed. What should I do?' thinks Chairwoman Tsuyuzaki.
