Y/n smiled widely at her mother and father as she turned around and looked at herself in the mirror, Y/n and her parent's race were African Americans although Y/n had her mother's beautiful dark skin she had her father's hazel eyes and her father's lips. Right now Y/n and her parents were going to go on a cruise to Hawaii since Y/n did amazing in going to the next grade in school. She was going to 4th since she was now 9 years old, Her parents grabbed their bags and put them in the car as Y/n watched, and then her mother came over and made sure her short locs were fixed up in a ponytail and with a little yellow bow.

The next thing Y/n knew was that when she and her parents were in the car chatting and singing along to the music, They got into a car accident in which they all had to go to the hospital. It was a very bad accident since Y/n had a broken leg and arm and such like her father but he had more severe problems. But her mother, her mother was gone and once Y/n and her father found out about it they were devastated and cried until they had no more tears left in their eyes.

Outta nowhere Y/n heard loud screaming and loud thumping as she opened her eyes and looked at the woman who came straight into her room which was the attic, The woman came over to her she had a weird face and she was as pale as snow well that's what Y/n thought but her father thought she was the perfect woman to marry and he married this woman before he passed. Y/n looked at her and she told her, "Pack your things because you are going to be a maid at a castle, I need the money that they are offering" Y/n gasped at her mother and shook her head "No...You didn't even ask me about this first.." Her stepmom looked at her with envious eyes "Do you think I care about asking you, Besides no one really cares about you in this house" she said as she went over to her closet to take her clothes out.

Meanwhile, Y/n was now standing there as she watched her stepmother take her clothes out and throw them on the floor. Y/n ran over to her  stepmother and pushed her away "I will get my own clothes, But please just get out!" She yelled as her stepmother put her hand up to slap her but took a deep breath and put her hand down, She glared at her before she walked out the room.

Y/n let out a big sigh of relief as she went over to her twin-sized bed and sat down on the edge of the bed It made a squeaky noise. She then looked up at the ceiling before getting up and getting her suitcases together.
Y/n was kinda happy that she was leaving but what if whoever was going to be there was rude and just wanted to hurt her even if she cleaned correctly. Y/n let out a big sigh as she grabbed her two suitcases and went downstairs only to see her stepmother smiling at a handsome man, Her stepmother looked at her with a small glare "You can take her, I'm pretty sure she's not good at any work." She said as Y/n was about snap but the man looked at her stepmother, "As I'm looking around I can see that this place is pretty sparkly and clean." He said as he went over to Y/n. "My name is Hwang Hyunjin, Don't worry about a lot of cleaning, and please do not overwork yourself.. if you need a break that's fine with me, and by the way...You are beautiful" he said as he smirked and turned to walk out.

Y/n was a blushing mess still as they were in the car going to Hyunjin's place, When they got there Y/n stared at how big the place was, it was bigger than her stepmother's and father's house. She looked over at Hyunjin who was now getting out of the car and walked over to her and helped with her suitcases "I'll help you with these  and then the other maids will also show and help you to your room." He said as he walked inside the mansion.
