Chapter 13

The Burrow had been active for quite some time that Monday morning. Mrs. Weasley had awoken earlier than usual to start on breakfast since she had an extra mouth to feed on top of Hermione and Harry. The mother of the household had insisted that Remus join them for breakfast before the pair needed to leave for Hogwarts at 7:30am. She had not taken no for an answer and had threatened to drag him by the ear all the way to the Burrow if he did not show up on his own accord at 7am on the dot. Harry hoped for the man's own sake that he listened to the mother of seven.

Harry, himself, had been awake just as long as Mrs. Weasley had been. But he had opted to stay in the solitude of his room even though he had heard some other members of the household go downstairs. In his opinion, the less interaction he had with the other's after the stunt they had pulled the previous day, the better. His irritation with the twins for trying to break into his room was still palpable. If he had a choice, he would have rather skipped breakfast and just gone straight to Hogwarts to avoid any and all social interaction. But he knew he needed to keep up appearance for the time being.

Currently, Harry was sat on the edge of the bed he had been using for the past few days, in the middle of tying the shoelaces of his black boots. He predicted that in any minute someone would be knocking on his door to tell him he needed to go down and eat. So he milked every last second of his privacy that he would have for the rest of the day. A soft sigh left his lips as he sat up straight. His eyes closed on their own accord as he enjoyed the - mostly - silent room.

"Harry?" a familiar voice interrupted the silence of the room which caused him to open his eyes with a soft smile. "Are you there?"

"Good morning to you too, Drew," Harry said as he got up from his bed, sat down at his desk, and pulled the two-way mirror closer to him.

"Did I catch you just in time?" Drew asked after he observed how Harry was dressed in his usual dark attire with his leather cloak on.

"You did. Someone will be up here any second to tell me breakfast is ready," he nodded with a small smile before he frowned at the unusual time for a checkup by the older. "Is everything okay? Did something happen?"

"Everything is okay, Harry. I was just hoping to catch you this morning since I'm leaving tonight and I'm going to be out for the next two days. I have some things I need to discuss with you quickly," Drew was quick to reassure the younger of his worries. "The room is warded right? So no one can hear us?"

"Of course, Drew. I'm not an idiot. This room has been warded since the moment I walked in," Harry rolled his eyes with a cheeky smile that adorned his face.

"Brat. It never hurts to double check," sighed Drew as he looked at Harry with fondness. "Straight to business I suppose. I have found a new possible location for another Horcrux. And I wanted to check to see if you would like to join me in investigating it."

"Well of course I want to join you. Is this where you are going for the next two days?" he asked with a slight tilt of his head.

"No. The next two days I'll be doing an overseas job for a client," Drew shook his head.

"When were you planning on going to retrieve the Horcrux then?" asked Harry with a tired sigh. Knowing the other as well as he did, it would be soon. They were on a mission against time after all. "Because you know that I have a busy schedule for the next month."

"The sooner, the better. I would prefer to go at night though. And within the next fortnight," he said with a serious tone.

"Night time works out best for me anyway. How about this Sunday night? Preferably after 8pm," Harry suggested. Although if he was being honest with himself, he would have really liked to stay home after such a busy first week. But he knew it was better not to put off such an important task. "Unless you want to do it any of the nights once you get back?"
