Chapter one:It's only the Beginning

❄Katelyn's POV❄

It was 3.00 in the morning when i heard a blaring beep from my alarmclock ,i lay there my eyes restless from the lack of sleep i've had for days.

Three months have passed but the memory of my mother's lifeless body was still vivid in my head. I closed my eyes and swallowed the lump of tears that threatened to escape.

It was too good to ever last mom....

My phone went off and as i reached for it i accidentally trashed down the 'now empty' bottles of sleeping pulls.

One new message

Imprudent child...

I stared at the message puzzled , but as it all starts to click in , I receive another message

New message.

The chase is over now katerina.

I should be running frantically all over the place packing my necessities and getting the hell outta here.

But as i stood there unfazzled, deep down i knew the day would come when i had to face it all.

A loud thud...

And the door burst open behind me.I stood there completely unaffected.

"Miss..?...your father is waiting for you."

I scoffed ; ofcourse he had men do the chase for him...he wouldn't get his hands dirty for nothing.

*flashback*

..I couldn't take in the scene infront of me , my mothet's body lay there in a puddle of blood...

"Mo-m?..."

I felt weak on my knees ...as i moved closer i noticed the straight bullet on her forehead ...a tear escaped .

she was holding onto something ...
It was a piece of paper...

I gently opened her fisted hand and took it out.

as i looked at my mother's handwritting i noticed she wrote it  in a haste as if she knew this was gonna happen.

" There is no enough time to explain it all but i need you to be strong baby...don't let your father find you don't be close to him, he will get you tangled up in all of  his evil deeds ...you have to stay hidden from the world that 's the only way for you to stay alive..."

*end of flashback *

It's funny how life makes silly jokes on you, i've been doing what mother said i should do for a couple of months running here and there staying lowkey never settling...hidden from the world never really had any fun nor made any lasting relatiomships , but now as i gazed out of plane's window  flooded with thoughts i wondered if hiding would have been for the best ...

..am sorry ma'  i have to face this in my own way.

As i landed from the private flight, bodyguards escorted me to a black tinted Mercedes , am pretty sure by now he is well informed about my arrival.

We drove through the beautiful city of london and as we passed through the brightly lit neighbourhoods , i felt a sense of de ja ' vu ...

The car stopped and the main gates opened, as we pulled in I could see the once familliar mansion that stood amidst the gardens ..gardens that mother took good care of.

I stepped out of the car and took in my surroundings . turns out no matter how hard i try i'd always find my way back to the hellhole.

As i glanced on the balcony i saw him watching me with an intense scrowl on his face.

With all the confidence i had , I made my way to the front porch as the maids opened the front doors for me , i went directly to his study and bulged in unannounced.

He stood looking out of the window with his back on me.

"Imprudent child..."
"she surely did not raise you well"

I fisted my hand to side as i tried to calm myself from an outburst, he didn't have the right to such statement ,not when he abused me as little child.

He turned to face me , his face expressionless, I looked at the man standing infront of me with disgust , i noticed he has weakened, his once intimidating appearance was replaced by the passage of age.

I was no longer the little girl who was constantly abused by her father neither was he the same ...and i could care less of what he is going through.

As i took my leave, his words stopped me in my tracks.
"You know what i want katerina...do not dare  disobey me"

With gritted teeth i left the room fuming in anger .

Obviously he hadn't changed at all...
