World Walkers Shine and Wally have been on the same mission for almost a year now, when out of nowhere they get a summons to go on some sort of side mission--with their new mentees, Momo, Shoto, Bakugo, Camie, and even Dabi.
But the world they get
...
"I suppose we made one heck of a first impression yesterday," Shine began, "but it was for a reason. We didn't just expect to waltz into your village and be taken seriously. But I admit, your reactions were a little more violent than I expected, even so.... So I'd like to know more about why you were so wary, first."
"You mean why are we ninja always on guard?" Temari said, as she'd been thinking about where to begin.
"Yeah, sure," Dabi said.
"So you really know nothing at all," Temari clarified.
"How many times do we need to say that?" Shoto was getting a little terse.
Momo took his hand and smiled reassuringly. He relaxed a little.
Temari picked up a stick and began to trace a crude map in the dirt.
"Well, you're in the land of Shinobi," she said. "This is the land of Wind."

She pointed. "If you go a little east, you'll come to the Land of Fire. That's where Hidden Leaf Village is, Konoha. If you go as far as the ocean, there's the Hidden Mist Village in the land of Water. Northwest of that, the Land of Lightning, where the Hidden Cloud Village is. And North of us, the Land of Earth, where the Village of Stone is. In between is the Land of Rain, with the Village of Rain. No one goes there. And no one goes to the Land of Rice, where the Hidden Sound Village is."
"Why does no one go there?" Dabi interrupted.
Kankuro shot him a look like it might be bad luck even to talk about it.
"That's where they say Orochimaru lives, with his Sound Ninja," Gaara spoke. "Some of them infiltrated the Chunin Exam in Leaf."
"You've mentioned this...I'm sorry, how do you say it?" Shine said.
"Orochimaru?" Momo asked.
"He must like snakes," Dabi said.
All of them shuddered.
"If you're lucky, you'll never set eyes on him," Temari said, with a disgusted face. "He bit one of the Leaf Ninja, I heard, and I saw the curse mark later.... Gaara saw it more."
Gaara nodded.
"Curse mark?" Shine asked. "Explain that please."
"We don't know much about it," Kankuro said. "And you don't want to know. I guess it gives someone a chakra boost."
"I heard some woman had it who was in Leaf...Anko," Temari recalled. "But it's not something to speculate about. Things like that are forbidden."
"But shoving a Tailed Beast into a kid isn't?" Dabi said skeptically.
They all looked at him strangely.
"How is that the same thing?" Kankuro asked.
Shine, who was used to such blind prejudice--or stupidity--from other worldly people, was only slightly put off.
