Answer the Call is part of an assignment to gather a special group of people before the Great War that is fast approaching all mankind. Thus for this novel, I decided to highlight those ones usually written off as weak in every society; people who spend most waking moments wishing there was a button to press, simply for the purpose of wiping their slates clean; people who seem to the rest of us to be locked away in some other world, as an excuse not to function the way all societies expect.
In this novel, I am inviting them to plant their feet on the narrow treacherous path that many have heard of but do not quite understand; so that they too can take their place alongside other gatekeepers, just like Mary Pethiel must learn to do, throughout this 33 novel series.
Now let us join her on this journey, as she builds a ladder that leads to the New World many of us have been longing for.
