*Months Later*
The day of the wedding was only 2 weeks away. Marie, Roy and I had everything arranged, and I couldn't be more nervous.
Yesterday, Rebecca, Marie and I went and picked out a dress. I was glad they got along well and we actually made plans to go shopping again sometime, it was nice having friends I knew I could rely on.
Roy went out and got his suit with Havoc and Breda today. They were just getting back.
"Riza!" Roy called as he opened the front door.
"Yes, Roy?" I yelled from the kitchen.
"Okay, never mind. I was just making sure when I walked in you wouldn't see my suit." He said and giggled. Since when was I engaged to a schoolgirl?
"Alright," I stifled a laugh and the other two walked in the kitchen while he went upstairs to put his suit away.
"Hey, Riza!" Havoc said excitedly.
"Hey, Gene! Hi, Haymans!" I dried off my hands and walked over to them, throwing my arms around both of their shoulders and pulling them into a group hug.
"I miss seeing you everyday, it sucks without you." Havoc stuck out his bottom lip and hugged me again, lifting me up and spinning me around.
I laughed and he sat me down, smiling at me. "I miss you guys too, don't be such strangers! Come by more often, you know I'd be happy to have you over for dinner anytime." I looked at both of them with a warm smile.
"We'll keep that in mind and make sure to tell Kain and Vato to drop by and bother you anytime possible." Breda laughed.
"I really don't mind." I shrugged
as Roy trotted down the stairs and joined us in the kitchen."What did you do to her, Colonel? She's such a mom now." Havoc leaned against the counter and smirked. His smile slowly faded into shock. "You aren't pregnant are you?"
"No," Roy and I said in unison. He laughed and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "She's really not much different, she was just so serious at work you couldn't tell."
"It's hard to believe her best friend is Rebecca." He rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled.
"Well, I suppose our neighbor Marie has rubbed off on me a tad bit." I leaned into Roy.
"Marie? Jeremy Kaseman's wife?" Breda raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, she's a sweetheart." I grinned and turned around, lifting the tinfoil off of a batch of cookies that was sitting on the island. "Would you guys like some cookies? I made them earlier."
"Yeah, thanks." Breda reached over and grabbed one, taking a bite. "These are really good, Gene you should try it."
"Yeah, I'll take one. Thanks, Riza." He smiled and took a bite, then pouted once again. "She bakes amazingly too? Damn, Colonel that just isn't fair."
Roy laughed and grabbed one. "I knew I'd land a major babe someday, I just wasn't expecting somebody as amazing as Riza." He kissed my cheek and I smiled down at my feet.
A ring at the doorbell interrupted our little conversation and I went to get it.
"Hello," I said after I opened the door, revealing a very happy Marie.
"I've got great news!" She squealed.
"Spill it."
"Okay, so- oh you've got guests." She stopped and smiled at them.
"Hi, Marie." Roy and Breda said in unison.
"Hi, boys. Who's this?" She tilted her head at Havoc.
