Time skip~to when u arrive at Texas

Mo: "we're here"

Y/n and her mother gets out the car and u run straight into the house your mom already promised u the bigger room since ur room back in California was the smallest room.
10 mins later~

Mo: "Y/N COME DOWN STAIRS AND HELP ME"
Y: "COMING MOM"
You guys unload everything into the house and u start unpacking ur stuff
~ding dong~
Mo: "y/n can u get the door please"
Y: "yeah"
I'm surprised the doorbell works tbh (btw this means she's thinking in her head)
I opened the door to see a lady standing there
C: "hello is this y/l/n house?"
Y: "umm y-
Mo: "hey u must be connie" my mom said cutting me off
C: "that would be me"
Mo: "come in just ignore the mess we're still unpacking"
The lady made her way to the living room following my mother.
Who is this lady and how does my mom know her already
Mo: "Y/N come here"
Y: ughh "coming"
Mo: "y/n this is connie, connie this is y/n she will be looking after u after school hours whilst I'm at work"
Y: "what I'm 15 I don't need someone to look after me"
Mo: "please y/n we know what happened last time plus we don't know this place well enough yet"
Y: "okay fair enough"
Mo: "okay y/n get unpacking you've got school tomorrow"
