Chapter 6 - First Operation

7:46 AM, Rhodes Island, Floor 21, Dorm F.

Zorn was waking up from sleep after several tries of ignoring the same uneasy atmosphere. His mood was a bit grim after quite possibly, the worst night of his life.

Though, his mood improved quite a bit when he soon realized that today was finally his working days as a mercernary here.

Zorn also noticed that Flamebringer wasn't in the room anymore when he looked around.

"..He must've gotten off for early work." Zorn kept that assumption to himself as he fixes his long ruined midnight hair a little while walking towards the restroom to take a fast and proper shower.

But when he gained more consciousness by the passing time, he came to realize that the same atmosphere from yesterday stayed and was now bothering him, so he rose his guard up a bit just to make sure he's safe.

"..I already have the impression that today will indeed be a 'compelling' day." Zorn said innerly as he acknowledges his past self's previous hopes and thoughts, though he didn't expect too much.

Zorn dragged his tired body towards the restroom, and closes it.

A handful of minutes later, Zorn exited the restroom, he made sure to look way more formal and neat today.

He then sat on his bed and fished out his phone from his pockets, and then opened it.

Zorn was surprised how his phone was still alive, he then explored the entirety of the phone, only to find out that this was only used for contacts.

Zorn opened the contact app and found a single person in the list.

And it was Kal'tsit.

Zorn just turned off his phone and stuffed it back into his pocket, he then got up from the bed and exited the dorm for breakfast.

7:54 AM, Rhodes Island, Kal'tsit's Office.

Kal'tsit was divising a full proof plan with Dobermann and Ace for infiltrating Chernobog to retrieve a very certain person that was important to Rhodes Island.

"That is all what you need to do, you can excuse yourselves now." Kal'tsit said in the same old stern voice.

Dobermann and Ace nodded at this and was about to leave the room, until Kal'tsit halted them.

"Wait, I forgot about something." Kal'tsit said as she took out her phone and sent a text message towards a special somebody.

"Can you two wait here for a moment? I want to take a new person into your squad." Kal'tsit said as she put down her phone.

Dobermann and Ace were confused at this, but just stood there and waited as time passes by.

Timeskip

Several minutes later, Zorn opened the door to Kal'tsit's office and stepped inside.

"Do you need me for anything?" Zorn said in a neutral tone towards his boss.

Ace and Dobermann eyed at their supposed squad member interestingly, taking in his otherworldly appearance.

"Yes, I need you to assist these people on a mission to retrieve somebody." Kal'tsit gave Zorn a small description of the mission.

Zorn just nodded at this in return and glanced at his party members, and stared at each other for a while.

"You can go now." Kal'tsit, breaking the silence with a serious tone immediately caught everybody's awareness in the room.
