Not in love(Chapter 10)

Authors note: Hey guys. I have to apologize for my lack of updates. I've been busy, but my schedule has finally cleared up some so i'll try and update more regularly again. Anywho hope you enjoy!

Sakusa had never really been attracted to anyone before, so being around someone like Atsumu wasn't easy for him. He didn't know how to act, and the few times he was able to make a smooth remark it was ruined by the fact that he was blushing. Half of the time he was convinced he would melt, and the other half he felt like a statue made of ice. At first these new feelings had left him feeling completely helpless, but now he felt as if he was finally starting to get used to them. Even though it was getting better there were still times he felt as if he could barely function. Unfortunately now was one of those times.
"Sakusa" Atsumu said, staring up at the ravenette with a goofy grin. " What are ya thinking about. Your staring off into space again"
Sakusa jumped, and to his great displeasure he felt his face beginning to heat up, a sign that he had come to recognize as the start of a blush.
"N-nothing" He said, wincing as he stuttered. Why did he always have to look like such a fool in front of this boy. "I was just looking at you."
The minute the words left his mouth Sakusa felt his face heat up even more, and he was forced to turn his face away to hide his surely bright red cheeks. Why would he say something like that, what kind of idiot just admits to staring at someone.
"Ya were looking at me?" Atsumu asked, bating his eyes innocently. " Why is that?"
Biting his lip Sakusa forced back a groan. "I was wondering how someone could manage to look so dumb." Oh god he was an idiot. Why couldn't the world just do him a favor and hit him with lightning or something, at least it would end his misery.
The blonde frowned, sticking out his bottom lip in a pout. " Hey, no need to be mean ya know."
Sakusa's heart did a little jump in his chest. Gulping he forced his expression back into a frown. "I'm not." He snapped, in what he hoped was his normal uncaring tone. "Anyways get off me." With that he shoved Atsumu's head off his lap, forcing the smaller boy to grab hold of his arm in order to keep himself from falling off the couch.
" Ow" The blonde groaned, despite that fact that he hadn't really gotten hurt. " You said that I could lay on you! Why did you shove me."
Sakusa clenched his teeth, looking away from the other boy. He had said that Atsumu could rest his head on his lap, because the smaller had claimed being close to Sakusa made him more relaxed. But in that moment he hadn't known that being so close to Atsumu would make his heart pound so much, as if he was going to have a heart attack. "My legs were getting numb" he lied. He had just moved to stand up when Atsumu's grip tightened on his arm. " I'm going to walk it off real quick, so can you let go."
Atsumu shook his head. " I'm going with you." He said, a quiver in his voice that made Sakusa's heart ache. " I don't want you to leave me alone."
Sighing, Sakusa pulled the smaller blonde up next to him, placing his fingers on his chin. "I'm not going to leave you Atsumu" He said. " Not until you get your memories back." There was another sharp pain in his chest, his own words forcing him to acknowledge a thought that he had been avoiding. Once Atsumu regained his memories, he would never see him again. After all Atsumu had a life before Sakusa and his cousin had found him in the woods. He probably had a large family that was falling over themselves in panic looking for him, maybe even a lover. The thougt hurt but it was true.
Why did it hurt though, Sakusa wondered. He didn't really know the other boy, not really. Besides it wasn't like he had feelings for him. He was not in love.
Sakusa was again pulled out of his thoughts as Atsumu relaxed against his hand. " Promise" He said, fixing Sakusa with a slightly worried look. " Promise that you'll stay with me, u-until I can remember."
A knot formed in the back of Sakusa's throat, he was not in love, licking his lips he nodded. " I promise. I won't leave you alone."
Atsumu smiled softly, Sakusa ignored his hearts attempt to leap out of his chest. "Thank you, Kiyoomi."
When Atsumu used his first name, Sakusa felt as if a fire had been lit in his heart. He would never leave this boy, at least not until he had too, and he wanted him to know that. " I will protect you Atsumu. No matter what I will make sure your safe. I'll kill anyone who trys to hurt you."
The blonde let out a soft chuckle. " I already know that Osamu".
