Vampire King

Chapter 6

The sun was shining in the morning as it brought some life in the darkness of Gotham City. At the Wayne Manor the home that belongs to the Batman or also known as Bruce Wayne. Who was waiting for his many children and sidekicks to arrive at an open room filles with sun. The man was planning on checking if any of his children that may have been turned to vampires by seeing if they will burn alive in the sunlight. Or if that didn't work burn by the holy water used to make their hot drinks.

Well good thing Dick had his daily cup of Kori's blood or he would have died and been exposed as a vampire. So he managed to get to the Manor after he had gotten his Nightwing suit on. He managed to get to the Manor and was soon standing in front of Barbara who was suntanning on the balcony. He smiled down at her and looked like an angel as he does so. "Oh hello hunk wonder~" Barbara says in a bit of a daze state.

Dick grins at her and nods to her, "Hello to you too gorgeous." He flirts a little as he and Kori agreed on an open relationship. "Well aren't you looking good this morning." Barbara says as she hums and Dick pouts at her, "I just woke up as well you know." He says with a teasing tone of his as the Batgirl giggles at him. The two chuckle together before the one of them broke the pleasant atmosphere that was between the both of them. "Do you know why Bruce had called everyone over here?" Barbara finally asked as Dick shrugged at this but he knew just didn't want to tell.

"He doesn't know." Bruce says, "I haven't told anyone yet." He continued as he walked toward them and let's the two inside the rather sun lit room where everyone else was around. All of them where in their hero suits and sitting on the couchs. Jason was even there which had caused some friction with Damian who pointed at the second oldest son of Bruce, "Why is the phyco here?" The 13 year old had asked.

Jason growls at the kid and scuffed as well, "Well let's just wait an see what Bats has to tell us." He says and in a sligh mocking tone towards the youngest who growls at the disrespect. Alfred sighs as he came around to everyone and offered them some tea and Damian a hot chocolate as they all began to drink. Everyone was taking a sips as Bruce began to talk and soon the people became iffy about their hot beverage, as Damian threw his cocoa into the plant pot.

"You poisoned my cocoa?!" Damian yells as he pointed at his father who sighs and says, "It Holly water I had Alfred make your drinks with it to see if anyone of you had been turned into a vampire." Damian soon calmed down and asked for another cup to which Alfred gladly poured some in again and everyone just kept sipping their drinks until it was gone.

Soon as the meeting and a talking was done Bruce had everyone following him to a rather dark and eerie place. Soon they where all stopped as Bruce had given them wooden crosses. "What such fine craftsmen ship these had been made of." Barbara had stated. "Is this better?" Jason questioned as he held it out to Bruce. "Tata!" Tim yells as he held the cross up high while grinding as if he was doing a magic trick. And everyone turned to look at Damian and smiled at him as he held the cross, "Why are all of you so surprised that I have passed the tests?" He asked as he scuffed at his family.

Dick chuckles as he had said nothing and mery looked at the cross. 'Barbara is right it is made by such fine craftsmen.' He thought with a smiled as he put it some where on his suit. 'Everyone certainly seemed surprised that Damian wasn't turned into a vampire maybe its because he was the obvious choice and would enjoy the power of that of a vampires so that he can prove to Bruce that he is the best.' Dick though again and hums as he had lagged behind and his behaviour seemed normal to everyone. Not even Cassandra had managed to pick up on any different behaviour from anyone in the family.

So the family won't be expecting on Dick betraying them or being a vampire to begin with because of how the Holly water, the sun and the cross didn't seem to burn or hurt him. Allowing him to blend into the human territory and be able to know what Bruce is planning on doing as the man knows that the vampires are trying to take over the whole world now. Dick hid a smirk as he kept his face as natural as possible until he and the rest where shown of the many weapons in the place. All of them where once used to kill vampires.

Dick smiled a little smile as he looked at them, "So you are expecting us to kill them and go against your moral code?" He asked Bruce who shocked his head and spoke, "They are already dead." He merely said as Damian was chuckling and grinning as he looked at them all before he had taken the cross bow and held it up, "So we are vampire hunting. Hehe." He giggles at the end as everyone sighed out knowing he was getting a little to excited for this.

Dick smiled as he had an idea now as it seemed like even if he had the chance turn Bruce into a vampire he won't be able to trust the older man. 'If he somehow finds out that it not human then he would kill me wouldn't he.' Dick thought as he suddenly felt a pang in his chest as he was kinda hurt by how Bruce was now viewing vampires as a being that needed yo be killed. 'Wait a minute when did I began to care about this? Bout vampires or what Bruce had everyone though of me?'

With a sigh everyone soon left after taking some stacks and weapons. Dick went home to think about what he was doing and debating himself that was when Hal came and saw this. "Hey are you good?" He asked and sat next to the male, "I'm not so sure what I am doing anymore." Dick says as the GL hums, "Everyone is like that." Hal soon looked at Dick and sighs, "Hey don't doubt yourself now man if everything goes well it goes well. If everything turns to shit it turns to shit. That's all that matters in the end really at this point. There's no turning back now you do realise that right?" Hal asked as he made Dick realise the harsh reality as he nods and stood up, "Thank you Hal for everything."

Dick smiled at the older male as he walked away inside the tower where it was empty and everyone was hunting down the criminals that are needed to be killed. 'Sorry B but there's no turning back on this now.'
