I grimaced, “I hope you make things more interesting than your friend.” Sasuke continued, he’s different! He’s not the sweet, kind boy I fell in love with anymore! Well, not right now at least. I thought sadly,

“No!” I screamed running at Sasuke, He’s not Sasuke! I thought as I ran at him, “Don’t do it!” I yelled at him, I quickly embraced him in a hug, “Don’t do it! Please! You know I don’t like this stuff Sasuke! Please!” I pleaded while crying into his shirt. I could feel his piercing gaze on me but I ignored it,

“Ayame.” He whispered,

“Please.” I repeated, “Don’t do it, don’t kill him.” I lifted my head and a sense of accomplishment washed over me as I saw that his marks were gone,

“I’m sorry Ayame.” Sasuke whispered as he collapsed,

“You’ll be ok.” I whispered to him, Sakura quickly rushed over,

“You’re strong Sasuke.” The ninja with the one eye proclaimed, I turned to see him hold out a scroll, “To strong, we can’t hope to defeat you as we are now.” I nodded, good, so they’re gonna leave. Right? He bent down and placed his earth scroll on the ground,

“I’ll strike a deal; I’ll give you the scroll if you let us go.” My eyes widened slightly but they returned to normal when I realised how scared he must be. I know I’d be if I was in his place. After that he just stood up and walked away, taking his friends with him,

“At least we’ve got what we needed to know.” He stated before he ran off,

“Wait!” Sakura yelled, the ninja stopped and turned around, “Who is this Orochimaru anyway?!” She shouted, “What’s he done to Sasuke and why Sasuke?” She demanded,

“I don’t know. All I know is that we were told to target Sasuke, and we did.” He answered bluntly. I watched him cautiously as he retreated,

“Hey! You guys ok?” Choji yelled,

“Ino, you look after Lee, we’ll look after the kid!” Shikamaru ordered,

“Right!” Ino answered as she headed for lee. I turned to Sasuke and watched him in pity as he watched his shaking hand,

“Just what… Am I?” He whispered to himself. I put my hand on his back to try and give him some comfort. I turned and laughed when I saw Naruto on the ground looking around,

“That grass ninja! Where could she be hiding?!” He murmured. I sighed and glared playfully at him,

“Uh, Naruto. I think you passed out when we were fighting her, we’re WAY past that fight.” Naruto’s eyes went wide,

“Sakura Sakura! Something serious is wrong!” He stammered running to us,

“Something happened to your hair!” He exclaimed while pointing at Sakura,

“Oh, that’s all. I just wanted to… change my look.” She lied, “I like it long but when I’m out in the wilderness it gets in the way all the time.” Naruto then turned to shikamaru,

“So what’s your story? What’re you guys doing here in the first place anyway?” He asked, both Choji and Shikamaru sighed,

“Explaining everything to you is going to be such a pain.” Shikamaru complained,

“Everyone just showed up to help.” Sakura answered for them,

“Haha! You got pummelled Bushy-Brow!” Naruto teased,
