(Richies bedroom)

Deep red marker etched along black, bold letters. "Andd..Done!" Richie said, with a tone of genuine kindness in his voice. "All better, See Eds?" Eddie kaspbrak hated this nickname. Or at least, he let on that he did. "I told you Rich, stop calling me that. You sound like my mom."

"Oh yeah? Do I kiss like your mom too Eddie bear?" Richie tozier mocked, making smooching motions towards him.

"Knock it off!" He shoved Richie's cheek away with his palm, holding back laughter.

"Oh Eds, Be careful! Do you have your inhaler, Do you, Eds? Eddie don't forget your birth control!" Richie impersonated Eddie's mother, who was incredibly overbearing. "Cmon dude! That is SO not funny. Ill jab your eyeglasses right into your dumb nose, four eyes." Eddie mocked back, they would always bicker back and forth like this, each trying to aim where it hurt the most. All in good fun, of course. Although sometimes they crossed the invisible barrier of "Woah dude. Low blow."

With this, they both burst into laughter. Eddie wheezed, his laughter turning into a whistling tone as he reached into his fanny pack to retrieve his inhaler. Richie thought of taking it from him, holding it up so he couldn't reach it, but decided against it as he watched Eddie exhale out and then inhale the puff of his inhaler. "Man, it's like we can't have a romantic moment without that total thirdwheel." Richie was referring to Eddies inhaler. He dramatically draped the back of his hand over his forehead, Woe is me the action spoke. Eddie laughed once more at this, that sort of silent laughter one does when they laugh so hard. Richie adored making Eddie laugh like this, even if it made him out of breath.

In fact, Richie loved making all of his friends laugh like this. The losers club they would call themselves. Whether it was just pure whit as he delivered a classic one-liner at the perfect time, or just a simple action at the perfect moment. He loved seeing people happy and laughing. But Eddie was different. Richie lived for making Eddie laugh. Richie loved Eddie. Even if he didn't show it much, Richie loved the sound of Eddie's voice, loved talking to him, loved hearing him rant about his home life and how much his mother embarassed him at times.

(fast foward, 3 hours later)

It was now nearing 6'o clock. Derry curfew was at 7..Eddie said his goodbyes to Richie and hopped on his bike to go home. Once home, he crashed onto his bed. "God.." he thought. "Why do I feel..different around him? I love him, I know that much."

"But..in a friendly way, right..?"
