5/20/22 Journal Entry One
Okay, so this is my first time writing one of these. I won't be too specific with details. If someone ever finds this, one; I'm probably dead. Two; you should know that I am diving and this is just me writing down things that I think are cool and maybe like a diary, I'm a Seventeen year old introverted guy. Today I'm just swam near the shore, not anything too interesting, just a couple of seashells I got for my mom. I guess that's it.

Okay, I'm trying to do this everyday. Today I didn't find too much, just a ukulele (poor instrument), some driftwood and seashells.

I saw the weirdest thing. I must've been tired and hungry but I thought I saw a tail, not just a fish tail but like a mermaid's, I know it sounds stupid but I could have sworn that's what I saw. Oh well.

Yep, I've lost it. I'll tell you what I think I saw. I think I saw a mermaid but that shouldn't be possible but she swam up to me, I of course didn't move cause omg what on earth. She had the prettiest orange hair and freckles sprinkled all over her face and shoulders. Her tail was the most gorgeous glittery gold. I'm pretty sure that was my imagination though but I'm coming back tomorrow to this same spot, same time, just to be sure I need to go to the nut house.

Oh man. I lost my mind but I don't mind it at all. No, not because the mermaid's pretty, she is but that's not the reason. It's the fact that there's a mermaid in front of me. This sketch here is what she let me sketch of her. She came up on shore with me, she doesn't seem to be able to speak at all but I think she sort of understands me. This really feels like the Little Mermaid haha! Only difference is I'm not a prince.

We figured out how to communicate. She draws in my book, she's quite the artist. It looks like a boat, it looks like the Titanic. Oh, it is, that's weird. She drew skeletons in the seats but drew exes over them like they're not supposed to be there, I'm gonna ask her yes or no questions since she seems to understand. I asked if she remembers this, yes. If she knows what year it is, no. If she remembers before the titanic, she tilted her head side to side so I assume that's a not much. Does she know if she was always a mermaid, yes. Has she always been one, no with a giggle. What, was that a stupid question? Yes apparently. She has a good sense of humor, making fun of me. But in all seriousness she's really sweet and funny.
