. . . [beep, beep, beep]
Soobin who turns off his alarm clock, wakes up and stretches his back after a long sleep.
"Time... I didn't know winter vacation would end so quickly." Soobin said while staring at his alarm clock.
He got up to get ready. Although, it was still early. He wanted to get to school early since he enjoyed the comfort of the campus being quiet. Yet again, he actually had to stop somewhere first before heading to school.
He finished getting ready, got out of his room and went down stairs to meet his mom preparing a breakfast meal for his son. "Good morning sweetie, I didn't know you were awake already~ go to the table I'm almost down with the stew" the mom said to Soobin as he went to the table and opened his book he was carrying to read it while waiting.
After the mom finished cooking. She sat down with Soobin. They ate together in silence.
"Is it yummy?" The mom asked. Soobin nodded in response.
"I can't believe you're in your last year of highschool already. I still remember you entering elementary school. It just felt like it was yesterday." The mom said feeling sentimental. Soobin looks at her and gives her a warm smile to reassure her.
Of course, Soobin isn't much of a talker, even to his family. He was very quiet since he was young. He only minded his business and his life. He barely got mad since he didn't find the reason to. He was very composed to act like this in life.
The mom felt happy to just see Soobin doing well even though he wouldn't say it in words.
"Binnie, since you're already at your last year. Is there anything you want to do before you start studying for exams again?" The mom asked. She wondered if her son has goals he wanted to do before he starts to get serious with studying for the annual CSAT.
Soobin looks up to his mom, and stays silent for a bit. "I want to go around many bakeries and bookstores." He said and went back to his food.
"No binnie, not like that you do that almost every week for your whole life. What I mean is there anything that you want to do that you never done before like going to another country or do you want to go on hangouts with friends?" The mom recommended. Soobin just stays silent.
The mom wants to make sure Soobin lives his last year of highschool to the fullest since she knows he won't have any more time in college.
Of course since she's a very cheeky mom. She teases her son from time to time to brighten up the atmosphere.
"Or does my youngest son want to have a girlfriend this year?" She said cheekily. Soobin who heard that, got flustered and embarrassed.
His mom notices how red he looks, "of course I'm just teasing you but binnie if you ever find the right person don't hesitate to love them okay? I support my youngest son to the fullest when it comes to love!" His mom says in a loud voice.
Soobin who feels overwhelmed by his mom. He felt like the neighbors heard his mom say that. He feels embarrassed.
"Mom... I'll get going now." Soobin says as he feels embarrassed and just wants to get going.
"Oh but you haven't finished your side dishes? Well it's okay I'll pack then inside the fridge so you can eat it later when you get home. I'm sorry if I was too loud and embarrassed you binnie. But what mom is saying is actually true okay? Anyways you should get going have a nice day sweetheart." Mom said. As she gives her son hugs and kisses.
Soobin leaves the house. Feeling relieved since his mom wasn't there to embarrass him anymore but he felt comforted to know his mom was always there for him.
