Face down in the dirt
He said, "this doesn't hurt"
He said, "I finally had enough!"
(A/N: I know I posted this song like three times but this song just goes so well for those chapters. Also, the original lyrics are she but I changed it to he for story purposes.)

Colby's POV:
I was scared but happy at once. School is over and Sam and I are in his car driving to Ryan's house to pick up my belongings. Once we got to Ryan's house, I had Sam park two houses back so Ryan couldn't see him.
"Ok so here's the plan, I'm giving you ten minutes to pack up everything. If by ten minutes you're not back then I'm coming to get you ok?" Sam said. "O-ok," I replied. So I got out of his car and left my school bag in the back seat. I then ran to Ryan's house and got in.
I then ran up to my room and hurriedly grabbed my bag and packed all my clothes, shower necessities, as well as my laptop and chargers. Just as I finished packing and was about to leave my room, the door opened and my eyes widened as I saw Ryan angrily glaring at me.
"What the fuck are you doing?" He asked me with anger in his voice. "I-I had enough of being your punching bag. I-I'm breaking up with you so now I'm leaving," I shakily replied with anger in my voice. Ryan soon had his hands in fists.
"So you want to leave huh?" Ryan asked as he began to back me up against the wall. "R-Ryan please let me leave," I begged as I trembled in fear. "Oh, I'll let you leave but take this with you!" Ryan snapped. My eyes widened as I saw Ryan take out a pocket knife from his pocket.
"R-Ryan Please Put It Down!" I cry out. Ryan then raised his hand. "Ryan Please!" I begged once more. I then began screaming bloody murder as Ryan slashed my left cheek. I shakily placed my left hand on my cheek as I looked at Ryan in fear. But before Ryan could do anything else, he was stopped.
Sam's POV:
It's been eleven minutes and Colby still hasn't shown up. I was getting worried so I got out of my car, locked it, and ran to Ryan's house. I had a feeling Colby was in trouble. As I entered Ryan's house, which he left unlocked, I suddenly heard Colby screaming.
I then ran upstairs to find his room. I had just gotten up the stairs when I heard Colby screaming bloody murder. I then ran to a room with a door that was half opened and half closed. As I opened the door, I was horrendously shocked to see Colby holding onto his left cheek as Ryan was holding a bloody pocket knife.
I then realized Ryan had slashed Colby. I then picked up a vase that was on the side table and I quickly made my way toward Ryan. Once I got to him I then smashed the vase on his arm. As he screamed and held his arm, I quickly grabbed Colby's free hand with my right hand as I grabbed his bag with my left hand. We then ran out of Ryan's house, got in my car, and drove straight to my house.
Time Skip
On the way to my house, Colby was crying in pain. I then went and placed my hand on his left thigh. "It's ok Colbs, we're almost there," I assured him. Once we got to my house, I quickly helped Colby get out of my car and rushed him inside. "Mom come quick and bring the first aid kit!" I yelled as I held onto Colby. Moments later, my mom rushed in with the first aid. "Oh dear Colby, what happened, are you ok?" she asked as she saw Colby's now bloody cheek.
Colby just looked at me with a pleading look. So now it's my turn to lie. "Oh um, Colby fell on his way home from school." I knew my mom didn't believe me but she shrugged it off. "Ok, Colby I need you to move your hand so I can see your cheek ok?" My mom instructed. "Also Sam please sit him on the couch."
I nodded my head and sat Colby on the couch. Colby then removed his hand and my mom's mouth dropped agape. "Ok, I'm going to clean up your cut and see how deep it is," Colby just nodded his head. Once my mom cleaned up Colby's cheek, she then made a sour face.
"Unfortunately, Colby's cut is too deep. We need to take him to the hospital to get it checked out." Colby's eyes widened in fear when my mom mentioned the hospital. I then looked at him, "it's ok Colby everything will be ok," I assured him with a small smile.
Once we arrived at the hospital, the doctor began checking Colby's cheek. "Ok, Cole, your cut is not too deep. All we have to do is stitch you up and you'll be ready to go." Doctor Jones replied. Colby just nodded his head.
As Colby was getting stitches, I gently held his hand to comfort him. "Ok Cole, all done. Now before you leave I need to ask you, how did you cut your cheek?" Colby tensed up a bit as he looked at me. "I-I tripped and hit my face on a rock on my way home from school," he replied. "Are you sure?" Dr. Jones asked. Colby just nodded his head.
Once we got home, Colby drank his pain medicine and went up to my room to sleep. "Ok, Sam, now what really happened to Colby?" My mom asked me. I knew I had no choice but, to tell the truth. I was just about to tell my mom when suddenly my dad came home. "Hey what's going on?" He asked as he came into the living room. "Sam is about to tell me why I had to rush Colby to the hospital," my mom explained. "Is Colby ok?" My dad asked.
"Well yes and no," I replied. I then explained to my parents about how Colby was no longer living with his parents to him having to live with Ryan and all the pain he's been through. "The reason why Colby had to go to the hospital was because of Ryan. Ryan got mad because Colby broke up with him and was going to leave him. So he slashed his cheek with a pocket knife," I explained.
My parents were shocked. "That's why I wanted to know if it's ok if Colby lives with us?" I asked them. "Oh honey, of course, Colby can stay." My mom replied. "Thanks, mom and dad," I replied. "You should try convincing Colby to denounce him," my father told me. "I'll try but I doubt he'll do it," I replied.
Once dinner was ready, I made my way to my room to see Colby. "Hey Colby, dinner is ready. Do you want to eat downstairs or in my room?" I asked him. "I-I'll eat up here but only a little bit," he replied. "Ok, oh also my parents agreed with you living with us," I told him. He just nodded his head in response. "Also, don't be mad, but I told them the truth." Colby's eyes widened, "W-Why?" He asked. "I'm sorry Colbs, but my parents were persistent," I apologized. Colby sighed, "i-it's ok I guess."
