i answer the call from olivia, and olivia pops up, smiling. "hey rodrigo," i say, smiling too. "hey parker," she mocks, laughing. "so, what'd you do today?" she asks. "i went to help out at feast, turns out that there was a singer who was gonna performed. he's really nice, performed a few of his songs while everyone at in the main hall," i inform. "who was the singer?" liv asks. "joshua," i say. she gives me a concerned look, "joshua who?" "joshua... bassett! that's right, joshua bassett." olivia gasps, covering her mouth. "tell me you're joking," she says. "i'm not joking..." i say, confused as to why that was olivia's response. "he was my ex," she says. "oh my god!" that's where i knew the name was familiar! "you guys were everywhere a few years back, that explains a lot," i say, laughing, "he's nice, you know." "yeah i know, i dated him," she says with a splash of sadness. "oh, right... sorry about that," i apologize. "it's fine." we sit in silence for a few seconds, before olivia speaks up. "i'm gonna go now," she says. "wait li-" not even getting the chance to respond, she hung up.

i pick up my phone, going to call her again. after multiple rings, it goes to voicemail. i hang up, calling her again. and again. "come on," i groan, pulling my blanket off my body and standing up. i get my upgraded suit from my closet, taking off my shirt and pants. jumping into the suit, i put on my mask,  pressing the black spider logo, tightening the suit around my body.

i land on olivia's balcony, closing my fists and going to knock on the balcony door. i stop last second, forgetting it was almost 12:30am. i stand up on the railing, sticking my feet to the side of the building and going around to olivia's window. i reach her window, and i look in, seeing olivia with her back towards the window, sitting at her desk. i knock on her window, and she turns around quickly. she closes her book, standing up and walking over to me.

olivia pulls the window open, standing to the side as i climb in. "you didn't have to come here," she says as i close the window. "i wanna make sure you're okay," i say, standing opposite her. she walks to the door, locking it and walking back to me.

i take off my mask, holding it in my right hand. "i'm sorry if i said anything that upset you," i apologize. "you didn't do anything," she says, wrapping her arms around my neck as she presses her body against mine. "it's just kinda weird, you know?" she says, her voice slightly muffled. "yeah i get it... i don't have to talk to him if you don't want me to," i say, rubbing her back. "no, it doesn't bother me that much y/n, you're so sweet... and you're also really warm." i laugh, wrapping my arms around her waist. "to be fair your room's cold, and my heater's on." "yeah, the stupid ac doesn't work, we've been nagging the shit out of the workers here," she says, chuckling as her thumb rubs over my suit.

we sit on olivia bed, legs crossed and facing each other. "i used to be a photographer," i say. "oh my god that's cool! i'm sure that your pictures must be great when you're in your suit around the city," she says. "yeah, they were pretty great, actually!" "so, why'd you stop?" "i got pretty busy with you know, this," i say, pointing at my suit. "talking about that, are you sure you don't want clothes? i can grab you some," she offers. "no, i'm good, this is comfy, i used to always sleep in them" i say, "and i'm warming up your bed." i shift over, placing my palm on where i was sitting. the spot on the bed was warm from my insulators.

olivia leans over, feeling it too. "oh my god, it is warm!" she exclaims, laughing. i lay down, and olivia lays her head on my stomach. "i'm not getting off you," she says, closing her eyes. "get comfortable then, because i'm not going anywhere," i say, closing my eyes. "actually i am getting of you, i need to pee. brb!" she says, standing up. "did you just say brb?" i ask, laughing. "yeah, brb!" she walks out of the room, closing the door behind her. i smile, taking out my phone.

i turn my phone off as olivia comes in, closing the door. "hey," i say. "hi!" liv says, walking over to the bed. she lays her head on top of my stomach again. "so, i don't know if i've told you yet, but i'm going to salt lake and cali," she says. "you didn't tell me! why?" i ask. "so i have this documentary thing that's i'm doing," she says. "oh! like a taylor swift documentary?" "yes, taylor swift started documentaries," she says, laughing, "um, yeah, so i'm just gonna film a documentary that's gonna go on disney plus," she says, smiling. "congrats liv liv! when do you leave?" i ask, smiling too. "i leave the... 13th of january. so in like... 4  days," she says. "wow... this is a big deal! we're the same age and you've achieved so much compared to me," i say, laughing. "you're literally spider-woman, shut up!" "it's not like i worked hard for it, it just happened." "it's fate, y/n. you've worked hard, you deserve this." she pokes my leg. "thanks, liv." i say, smiling. "hey... did you wanna come with me?" she asks. "seriously?" i ask. "yeah, seriously! i can let my managers know, iris is already coming with me," she says. "i would love to, i've never been to salt lake city," i say, smiling.

"so, this is what i've packed so far," she says, unzipping her duffel bag. i sit on the end of her bed, watching down as she takes out her folded clothes. "this shirt," she says, taking out a plain white cropped t-shirt. "cute," i say, smiling. she quickly folds it back. up, placing it on the floor. "oh, and some sunglasses," she says, taking out a pink shaded round sunglasses from a separate pocket. she throws them to me, and i catch them, putting them on.

olivia laughs, and i smile, looking around. everything was now in a shade of light pink. "looks great!" she exclaims, taking out a leather, black jacket. "and this jacket," she says, unfolding it and showing me. "very cute," i compliment, and olivia folds it back up, placing it back on top of the white shirt. "oh my god! you're gonna love this one," she says. "i'm ready!" i respond, adjusting the sunglasses. she laughs at the clothing, taking it out. she facing it towards me. it was a white hoodie, the back having a vintage design on the back.

i laugh, and liv flips it back to her. "that looks sick!" "i know right? the amazing spider-woman," she says, smiling at me. "that really boosts my ego," i say, laughing, "and what's marvel?" i ask. "i have no idea, i think they just made it up. we should get comics of you!" liv says, laughing. "no way!" i respond, laughing too. "i'd so read tha-" the door swings open, showing half-asleep iris.
