𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓜𝓲𝓴𝓪𝓮𝓵𝓼𝓸𝓷 family and the Salvatore brothers were in shock. "When-what?" Kol had to stop for a second before talking again. "Okay. Who are this... children and why are they calling you mother?" Kol asked. "Well, as if it wasn't obvious, old man. She's our mother" Billy replied with an eye rolled. Kol felt so offended at the word. Yes he was old but he didn't look the part. "I beg your pardon?" Kol asked. "You heard me" Billy replied nonchalantly. "William, show some respect to your uncle!" she scolded. The boys were quiet shocked to be standing next to their family members.

"Why are you here?" she asks, trying to avoid talking about her new found family. "Uh, no. We will talk about that later. Now, we have to address how you're a mother" Kol said. No one else was talking but Kol. Kol was one of the youngest aside from her and Rebekah but he was the oldest between the two. "Kol" she whined. "No. You're not getting out of this one, darling" she rolled her eyes. "Now, explain..." he moved his hands, pointing them at her kids as he tried to find the words. "Them" he finally said. "Well, sometimes when you get drunk you see a friend or someone and then you take them-" Kol covered her mouth. "I know how they are made. I meant when did this happen" he said trying to avoid knowing about his baby sister's love life.

All Rebekah could do was stare. Why? Why was Eliana getting what she had always wanted? "Are you gonna invite us in, sister?" Elijah asked. "No" her kids snickered at her answer. "You four" she began. "Go. Your dads will be here soon and you have things to do" they all groaned and whined they didn't want to leave their mom but she was right. "But mom-" Steve began but she cut him off. "Steve. Your father will be teaching you about how to run the institute and the same for Billy in Idris. Castiel will teach Jack about his powers and so will Magnus to Eddie. Now go" they whined and complained for a few seconds before kissing their mothers cheek and walking away without saying goodbye to their mothers family.

As she watched the portal closed she walked outside. "Why are you really here?" Eliana asked. Her tone serious and sort of annoyed. It been been a few decades since they last saw each other and she didn't know why her siblings she bothered to show up now. She expected from Kol and Finn but not Klaus and Elijah. Specially Rebekah. "Mother is back" Finn said. Finally getting over his shock. Eliana turned to look at him. She was shocked to say the least. "So?" she asked. "She wants to kill us" Klaus said. "You mean us as me, you and the rest. She doesn't want to kill her" he said pointing at Eliana.

Rebekah rolled her eyes. She always hated the fact that she was her mothers and fathers favorite child. "Okay? How is that my problem?" Eliana asked. "We need your help" Damon spoke. She looked a Damon. A side look. "And you are?" she asked. "Damon Salvatore and this is my brother Stefan" she nodded even though she already knew who he was. "Okay. Again. Why is that my problem?" she asked once again. "She wants to kill us" Damon replied. "Exactly. She wants to kill you guys. Not me. Which means is not my problem. I'll protect my brothers but not you two. You two are nothing to me" she said as she looked at Stefan.

Stefan wouldn't deny that he felt his heart break a little. It had been a few decades since the last time he had seen her but he still thought about her. Constantly. Even when he was with Elena. Eliana was the woman he dreamt of. The woman that made him happy even in his dreams. Even when only her ghost remained in his life. "Ellie, please" Stefan said. Everyone perked up. 'Ellie?' why would Stefan felt the need to talk to her as if he knew her. Well, the siblings knew the two had some sort of history. They had met in the twenties that's where they thought they knew each other from.

"I'm sorry, Stefan. But I can't get involved. My children need me. I can't just get up and leave. I have to be here with them. Specially now" she replied. "We are your family, Eliana. You're supposed to have our back and help us fight our enemies" Rebekah said. Anger noticeable in her tone. Eliana scoffed.

Rebekah had the audacity to argue with her and even try to make her feel bad for choosing her own new family over her old one. "Like you had my back for nearly a millennium?" she asked. Everything was quiet. "Spare me your indignation, sister. You've never cared about me nor have you ever had my back. I always had yours but it seemed liked you "had" mine when you needed something from me" once again, everything was quiet.

"I've lived a peaceful life for the last couple of yours. You being here won't change a thing. I can't and I won't let that happen. I've spent my entire life watching over you guys. I don't regret it because in the end we are a family but, please, don't make me choose between them or you. Please" she said with her eyes full of tears ready to drop. "Why? Cause you'll choose them?" Klaus asked as he too felt his eyes stung from the tears that gathered in his eyelids.

"I've spent my entire life watching over you. I've spent years trying to make our family whole again and nothing ever worked. I've let you all go. And it's time for you to let me go. I have to have my own life away from you. It's better this way" Klaus tried to walk over but she stepped back. Finally, the tears fell. "I guess always and forever wasn't forever after all" she said as she walked away and closed the door. As soon as she closed it, she cried. Was she doing the right thing? Yes. Did she wanted to the right thing? No, if it meant not helping her family. But now, she had to be selfish. She had her own family and kids to take care of and she would. Always.
