Worst enemy to first love

It was the first week back after the Christmas break and it was the week we were presenting our English projects.
Christmas was AMAZING I spent everyday with Leo "of course".
Our families spent Christmas together , they know we are dating now.
No one was suprised.

I haven't seen or talked to atlas since prom night.
The only person I really hang out with or see is Leo.

It was the morning back to school and we had English  next period, I was nervous to see him again since I choose leo over him.
I hate that I hurt him but I knew it was what I had to do.
As I entered the door.
He smiled at me,
I smiled back.

I sit down beside him

"Long time no see", he says.

"Yeah it's been a minutes atlas.

"You ready to present ?

"Always.

Next up is Mia and atlas for the places of wonders and meaning.

Atlas starts to show the class pictures of our places and meaning as I start to talk about the meaning of each one.
We both showed and talked about the abounded
Museum, the rainbow field, drivers garden.

The last picture atlas showed was the beach, this was the beach where me and Leo had danced together at his sisters wedding.
The beach where my feelings for him were confirmed.

After the presentation was over ms. Melody asked me a question.

"If u were to represent ur project in words what would it be.
All thoose pictures to create a story what would that story be?

"I have been in love, well at least that's what I called it "love".
Im not sure if I really was, in fact I don't think I'll ever know.
, I fell in love because of the glances, the beautiful smile,
The 2am checking to see how my day was of if I went to sleep happy.
I'll never know what I actually felt, but it's ended it's gone"

"But I fell in love once more with someone else, this time I fell in love with how he lowered his gaze when he saw me.
How he didn't flirt he was into things, how he texted me all day but not once said anything wrong or made me feel uncomfortable.
I fell in love with the good energy he spread.
I fell in love with how pure the love was.
I feel in love with his 8 years of patience while I was confused.
I sure knew it was love when I included him in my prayers withought thinking twice"

"That's beautiful Mia, this entire project is beautiful and I am very proud of the both of you.

I scan the room looking for Leo, I spot him.

"I love you" I mouth
"I love you too" he mimics back

I smile,
He smiles back
