These school days started as any other would, the only difference was that it was the first day of school. It's official; I'm in my final year of school- aka a senior. Just as I got out of bed I heard Mike pounding on my door.

Mike: "HURRY UP, WE'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL! NANCY'S GONNA LEAVE IN 10!"

Y/N: "Yeah, yeah, I get it!"

Mike: "STOP KISSING YOUR POSTER OF {your favorite band/singer}"

Y/N: "SHUT UP!"

Mom had told us both to be quiet and come get our food before it got cold and gross. I got dressed in a simple outfit and went to eat breakfast. Dad had been doing the usual, reading the paper while drinking his coffee, typically ignoring us and our subsequent cacophony. Mom was cleaning the mess from breakfast, Nancy was in her room, Mike was in the basement doing lord knows what (but most likely on the phone with El), and Holly was just watching cartoons while eating. Finally, I finished and Nancy, Mike, and I rode to school.

After a few minutes, we arrived. I said bye to Nancy and Mike then went to get my books and proceeded to go to my first class. I got done with some classes and went to lunch. Normally I sat with Mike, but he wasn't at our table today. While I looked at our table I heard my name being called from the other side of the room. I glanced over to see Mike and I went to him. I looked around the table and saw Dustin and a few other dudes. I waved to Dustin and Mike, then sat down. Everyone said 'hi' before returning to talking or eating, but one of them wouldn't stop looking at me with a pissed-off look. I looked back at him directly in the eyes, trying to non-verbally tell him to mind his own business but that's when he started talking.

Eddie: "Who is this, and why are they sitting here?"

Mike: "Eddie, this is my sibling- Y/N."

Eddie: *throws an almond at mike* "I don't want them here" *looks over at me* "Leave now."

Y/N: "Yeah, I think I'm fine where I am. Thank you though."

Eddie: "I wasn't looking for sarcasm, asshole, I was looking for you to leave. You're not a part of this club. Now go!."

Y/N: "Hmm let me think about it..." *goes silent for a moment* "No".

Eddie: "Don't you have a group of popular friends you can hang out with? Like Jason and his goons?" *he yells it loud enough for Jason to hear*

Jason: "YOU WANT SOMETHING, FREAK?"

Eddie: *smiles at Jason then blows him a kiss*

Y/N: No? I don't even know him. Let alone like him"

Eddie: "Well isn't that a surprise; sweetheart here is the first person in this school to not have a crush on that jockhead."

I rolled my eyes and then finished my lunch. I waved bye to Dustin and Mike and then left for math class. I sat down and to my surprise, I saw Eddie sitting next to me. I glanced at him and then went back to writing my notes

Eddie: "Well well well, if it isn't... What's your name again?" *he said sarcastically while smirking*

Y/N: "Ha ha, real funny, dickhead."

Eddie: "Hey, no need to start calling names sweetheart, I was just asking a question."

Y/N: *looks at him then fake smiles* "Hm you know my name, so say it."

Eddie: "No, I won't waste a breath on something unimportant"

I scoffed at his remark as the teacher broke up the heated conversation. I went back to writing notes. After 5 minutes I heard a grunt coming from Eddie. I looked over at him and saw him angrily erasing his equation.

Y/N: "No wonder you're frustrated, you put the variable in the wrong spot" *I grab his paper and write it down for him*

Eddie: "Hm I didn't know you had a brain. Maybe you should use it more."

Y/N: "Just be grateful; your ass would've flunked if it wasn't for me."

We finished class and went our separate ways.
