1. Prepare

Harry was staring at Gil, who had tourney pratice with Jay and Carlos as he nearly got a heartattack thanks to Uma.
"Hey little spy." she said and the poor pirate boy jumped up.
"Dammit Uma." he muttered.
"Y'know I have a feeling that tomorrow will be interesting. Y'know with the so called summer carnival here in Auradon. Rumours go that it's an amazing place to find your soulmate."
"Uma don't."
"Please. I'm so not asking you. But I'm sure someone else would be excited if you would ask the unnamed person."
"Who could you possibly mean?" Harry asked and Uma tried so hard not to face palm herself.

"Hey Gil, what are you doing here?" Dizzy asked as Gil walked into Tremaine's curl up and dye the next day.
"Oh well... I eh..."
"Oh. My. God. You wanna go short!?" Dizzy almost screamed with excitement and Gil chuckled nervously.
"I- I mean maybe... I just thought..."
"...Gil. Are you trying to impress someone? That's so cute. Normally I'd say be yourself but I just am dying to finally give you a short haircut!"
"Maybe I should just leave..."
"No Gil, sorry. Please? I'll play nice. I promise."
"...okay." Gil said and he chuckled as he saw how excited Dizzy was.

Harry was helping Uma out in her mom's fish and chips shop.
"Harry can we please hurry this up? Otherwise we'll be late for the summer carnival." Uma complained.
"Almost finished here. What about you?"
"Done."
Harry quickly finished his task and he looked at Uma.
"Well look at that captain, half an hour to spare."
"Good. We should probably get changed. Food stains and dirt isn't exactly great for a summer carnival."
"I got some spare clothes on the ship. Meet you in fifteen?"
"...ten minutes and get going." Uma snapped and Harry nodded and he hurried away.

"I am definitely going to need some time to get used to this..." Gil said as his hand went up to his now short hair.
"It looks even better then I thought it would!!! If I wasn't with Celia and if I was a bit older, I'd say you look really attractive!" Dizzy said and Gil chuckled a bit.
"Thanks I think?"
"Well get out of here. I need to get ready for the summer carnival. You too, I think?"
"Yea. Thanks for this though."
"No problem!" Dizzy ssid with a smile and Gil left her place.

"Oh my god Harry, you are hopeless." Uma said as she adjusted his not-leather jacket.
"I'm not that bad!" Harry said and Uma smirked.
"Yea right."
"You ready?"
"Would you mind? I'm trying to finish my make-up and then you barged in as a fashion disaster."
"You've been spending too much time with Evie."
"Jealous much?"
"No. Why would I?"
"I'm teasing. Don't worry."
Her phone buzzed and she checked the screen.
"Oh. My. God." she said and Harry looked at her.
"What is it?"
"Evie just texted me, she saw... Y'know what? You'll see."
"Hey that's not fair. What is it?"
"Nothing!" Uma laughed.
"You're the worst."
"Oh I know."

Gil looked at his brothers.
"I shouldn't have done this, right?" he mumbled.
"Jeez Gil, man up. It's great." Gaston jr. said.
"Yea definitely. Just be careful, the wrong gender might cahse you down now." Gaston the third joked.
"Girl are so easily attracted to boys with a haircut like that. Some gay guys too." Gaston jr said with a smirk and Gil found himself blushing.
He was hoping that one specific guy would notice him.
Well he noticed him, and he will notice the new haircut... But in a different way, I suppose?
