Violet had never personally driven in a gyrosphere, also because those were only used on islands filled with dinosaurs. The few times that she did visit the island were to visit the scientist. Their science and knowledge helped with hospitals and medical stuff that Violet didn't pay too much attention to.
For today's activity, the campers were going to drive gyrospheres with hoards of dinosaurs, therefore, The Cattle Drive.
"Saddle up, dudes and dudettes." Dave tapped his hand on one of the gyrospheres while Darius was the first to run up to one. "We're going on a cattle drive, but with dinosaurs! It's a dino drive!"
Ben walked up to the counselors, "And just to be clear, all these dinosaurs are herbivores, right?"
"Well." Roxie looked up at the sky with her hand on her chin. "They only chewed on the last kid a little, so we're like ninety-nine percent sure they're cool."
Violet and Kenji walked up to each other doing a fist bump handshake. The two sat in the same gyrosphere to chill while everyone else settled down and the adults got things running.
"You do know that I'm the one who's driving." Violet glanced down at the control and then backed up to Kenji who didn't have a pleasing look.
Kenji put a hand up, "No. I am the one who is driving. You don't even know how to drive these."
Violet shrugged her shoulders while looking away. "I'm sure it can't be that hard." She turned back to him with a smile. "Rock, paper, scissors? Best out of three."
The two smiled together while positioning their bodies to face each other as they both sat in the same gyrosphere. While Ben asked Dave and Roxie a bunch of questions, Violet and Kenji played a game of rock, paper, scissors.
"Ha!" Violet's hand was flat, forming paper that had just smacked Kenji's fist away which was a rock. "You are one for six." She shined a proud toothy grin at him. "You know that means right? You. Suck."
They were supposed to stop at three but Kenji wouldn't admit defeat and they still had time. Plus Violet was confident that she would win regardless.
Kenji looked down at his hands in defeat yet he still couldn't believe it. "You evil genius mastermind. You're cheating. How else do you keep winning?"
Violet raised a brow at him, trying not to smile at his dumb question. "You want to know the secret?" She whispered while leaning forward towards him. "I can read minds." Violet tried to sound as if she were telling the truth but anyone could tell that the smile on her face said otherwise.
