nightmares

Part 1

-ꜰɪɴʟᴇʏ-

I was standing with my hands on my hips admiring the very empty room that used to be mine. I scan the room to make sure I didn't forget anything and when I was sure I had not left anything I walked out of the room and shut the door behind me. I look over to the kitchen where my mother and father were. "I'm all packed," I started walking toward them hugging them both. "I'm going to miss seeing you guys every day," I told my parents. my mom leaned in and kissed me on the cheek. "I will too sweetie, make sure you text us about everything that happens and let us know if anyone is being mean to you also-" 
"I will mom don't worry, I'm going to go now I have to unpack," I said interrupting my mother before she starts to cry. I waved them goodbye starting my car.

halfway through my drive started to worry, what was I doing, what if my roommates are a jerk or they always have girls over or worse "bros",  my mind was running at the speed of light and spitting out impossible things like my roommates being half alien, I turned on the radio to drown out my thoughts. shortly after doing that I arrived at my college, it was much bigger than I remembered. I turned off my car and got out putting my keys into my front pockets. I grabbed a box from the back of the car and walked over to where my dorm was. after I unlocked it I stepped in and looked around, thankfully no one else was there I walked over to the door with my name on it and set down the box inside of my room. I repeated this around 8 times. 

after I sat down the last box I felt so relieved to not have to walk up those god-awful stairs, I leaned against the wall and went onto my phone. someone was knocking on my door, without thinking too much about it I walked over and opened it. there stood a tall man who looked to be around the same age as me, he has short black hair that just barely touched his eyebrows and hazel eyes. he was skinny but didn't have a lot of mussels. 


we made eye contact and he smiled at me. "glad to see that you aren't some creepy dude," he chuckled before holding out his hand for a handshake. which of course I screw up, instead of taking his hand and shaking it I put my hand on the back of his and shook his hand like that. he did not laugh at me for that he just smiled and said, "I didn't know that that's how you shake hands now, I'm Akain how about you?"
"I am Finley," I spoke looking down at my feet I opened my mouth to speak but again interrupted me, "do you need any help unpacking or anything?" I shook my head in response, "have you met our other roommate?"
"Oh," he smiled and chuckled "his name is Aaron, we are friends anything he says just ignore him he is dumb as a rock." I chuckled at that and smiled looking at his eyes, "I'll let you unpack" Akain said ruffling my hair, and walked away. I shut the door and put in my earbuds as I turn on Cavetown. I sighed as I knelled down and got to work unpacking and putting everything where it belongs.
