Chapter 7: Finding Out Sarahs Secret(part 2)

"rude"

"You missed. The pattern." Benny groaned out.

"Sometimes. I just skim your emails." Ethan said. Benny groaned and nodded.

"Fair enough." Ethan and I each grabbed one of Benny's hands and pulled him up. "thanks"

"what's your problem?" someone said behind us making us jump and scream a little. We turned around and there was Sarah. Shit, she caught up to us.

"Hold on if you eat us. That would so not be cool." I looked at Ethan.

"Nice one."

"Hey, I'm scared, okay? My heads all jumbled up." We turned back to Sarah when she scoffed.

"If I wanted to eat you, I would have done it by now." She said.

"See! She's gunna eat us." Benny said pointing at her. "we're doomed." He looked close to tears.

"No! no! no! I just want to talk to you guys!" Sarah said. While she was talking Ethan turned around and picked up some sticks he found on the ground. I gave him a weird look as he held them up to Sarah in the shape of a cross.

"Demon of the night, begone" he said. I giggled a little. Despite the situation, that was kind of cute. Sarah sighed again, get used to it girly. These boys are stupid.

"Whatever you guys saw; it is not what it looks like."

"Oh? You chowing down on rats in an alley way isn't what it looks like? What else could that look like?" I asked. She looked at me and opened her mouth to say something.

"you're a vampire who likes to drink blood and eat animals and whatever."

"Okay, so it's kind of what it looks like, but- "

"I'm warning you, I had garlic bread for lunch and I'm not afraid to use my breath." Benny took a breath in like he was going to breath on her.

"Ew, no, stop. I can smell that stank from here." I gaged. Sarah looked really frustrated.

"Will you both just shut up? I'm just a normal girl, okay? At least I was until I got bit by my crummy ex-boyfriend."

"Jesse, the pretty drama king? The one that I jokingly said earlier was a vampire?" Ethan looked at me.

"You think he's pretty?"

"Objectively, yes"

"Why?"

"Guys, pay attention please." Me and Ethan apologized and turned our attention back to Sarah, I could hear benny snigger beside us. "Anyways, I'm technically still a fledgling until I drink human blood. Which I don't really want to do. So, I have to figure out how to stop this thing before my mortal body dies. Or at least stop it from happening to more people like erica." Sarah explained to us. We all, me and the boys, looked at each other and kind of just, let out guards down a little.

"So, you're sure this isn't some stupid thing for that stupid dusk movie?" benny asked. Sarah did a kind of laugh.

"I wish." Just then we could hear growling and snarling sounds in the distance. Freaked out once again, I grabbed onto Ethan's arm. "Come on, let's get out of here. I'm not the only one feeding tonight. I'll get you guys home and if I'm lucky ill save erica before its too late." We walked home while Sarah explained the situation a bit more to us.

"I am so not joining them for lunch on Monday" I said as I wrapped my arms around myself. It had gotten quite chilly out and I was shivering a little. Looking over at me Ethan took his jacket off and held it out to me.
