Sal's POV

Larry and I made our way through the school doors, everyone almost seeming shocked that we were there. I mean, sure, we did miss two days of school before the break, but they're looking at us like we're ghosts.

Larry snaps my out of my thoughts by squeezing my hand. "Have you noticed all the stares?"

"Yeah, they're looking at us like we died or something."

"You technically almost did die."

"Quiet. No one needs to know that."

We decide to just ignore everyone, continuing our walk to our first class. I sit in my normal seat next to Larry, noticing Travis with his head on his desk two seats in front of me. I pull out my phone and text him.

Me: Hey Travis, is everything okay?

Gay Jesus: It will be as soon as I can move out

Me: Don't worry, Todd says we can move into the house in about a week

Gay Jesus: Great. I should be fine. Do you mind if I sit with you guys at lunch later?

Me: Sure. You've changed a lot so I don't think it should be a problem

Gay Jesus: Thanks Sal

And with that somewhat taken care of, the teacher walks in. I put my phone in my pocket and look over at Larry, who groans in annoyance.

"Damn I hate this class," he whispers, just loud enough so I can hear him.

"Eh, its not so bad," I respond.

"You're just saying that cause you're smart."

"I'm not THAT smart."

"Suuure."

We both chuckle, shutting up right before the teacher starts class. Who knew after an exorcism I'd be looking forward to my most boring class of the day? It's kinda weird.

Lunch rolled around quicker than I expected, as Larry and I walked hand in hand to the cafeteria. We sit down at the table, and I notice that all of my friends are looking at me with pure joy, aside from Chug and Maple who had no idea what was going on the entire time according to Todd. Which makes sense considering that every time we talk about ghosts and demons, they kinda tune everything out.

They all check up on me, making sure I'm okay, which of course I tell them I'm fine. I mean, my ribs have been killing me all day, but they don't need to know that. I'm sure it'll pass, and that's no reason to worry them.

As time went by, I was worried as to why Travis still hadn't shown up, at least until he plops down in the seat in front of me and lays his head down.

I put my hand on his head, "What's wrong, Travis?" He sits up, revealing multiple bruises on his face, which were obviously new.

"Shit man, your dad really doesn't like you," Larry says, and I respond by jabbing my elbow into his side. "Ow, what?"

"Not now," I say, "You'll be able to move out soon, I promise."

"Yeah..."

I sigh and look over at Todd, who just finished talking to Neil. "Actually, your 'soon' might be sooner than you think. We wanted to tell you guys that the house is ready, we can start moving in this weekend."

Me and Larry were happy, and Travis seemed both shocked and overjoyed. He was definitely ready to leave his house. As much as I loved my dad, I was ready to get out of the house, considering that he's barely ever home. And I know Larry was ready to get out of that basement, though he did enjoy playing his music as loud as he wanted when Lisa wasn't around.

We spend the rest of lunch discussing the new house, and it felt good to get away from the possession topic.

After lunch, me, Larry, and Ash made our way to the art room. I know Larry was ready to get back to painting.

Larry and I sit down at our shared table, the teacher wasting no time to start class.

"Welcome back class. So for the rest of this week, we will be doing partner work. You will draw and color a picture of a person of your choice in this room. It doesn't have to be a portrait if you don't want it to be."

Larry and I instantly look at each other. "Wanna make our pictures fit together?" Larry asks.

"Definitely."

We immediately start drawing, both of us deciding to make us look like ghostbusters with little ghosts and shadow figures surrounding us. To add a little realism to the drawing, I make Larry's weapon of choice a Sanity's Falls boombox. I look over and see that Larry made my weapon of choice my guitar.

We chuckle, and just before the bell rang, Ash came over and complimented us on our almost complete sketches. Carefully, I put my drawing in my art folder so I don't ruin the paper.

I'm glad that my first day back wasn't that bad, I actually enjoyed it. Its nice to not have to worry about Red taking control and hurting anyone. My head is quiet for once, aside from my own thoughts. No one else's voices but my own.

Larry grabs my hand, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Wanna skip?"

"Seriously? We just got back."

"Yeah, but I'm bored and I wanna work on the drawing."

I sigh, looking around to see if anyone else is around. "Fine, let's go."
