Chapter Fifteen
Red Machete

Terminus took Bob.

They took him, then ate his leg. And the group was out for revenge.

Bob was resting in Gabriel's office. They only let him go because he was bitten during the run. There was nothing they could do for him except make him comfortable. Alyssa had tried to give him the last of the painkillers, but he refused. Bob was always like that. Kind. Caring.
Bob mentioned they took him to a school. Gabriel knew which one and Rick wanted to go, but Abraham had different plans.

"Time for a reality check. We all need to leave for D.C. right now," Abraham stated as Rosita went to get her bag.

Rick looked at him in utter disbelief that he was bringing that up in a situation like this. "Daryl and Carol are gonna be back. We're not going anywhere without them," he argued.

"I respect that, but there's a clear threat here to Eugene. I need to extract his ass before things get any uglier," Abraham countered. "So if y'all won't come, good luck to you. We'll go our separate ways," he said before turning and heading towards the door.

"You're leaving on foot?" Rick questioned as if to say there was no chance in hell they'd be taking the van.

Abraham turned back around. "We fixed that damn bus ourselves."

"There are a lot more of us," Rick argued while walking toward the man.

"You want to keep it that way? You should come," Abraham replied.

"Carol saved your life. We saved your life," Rick stated.

"Well, I am trying to save yours!" Abraham said, raising his voice. "Save everyone's."

"We're not going anywhere without our people."

Abraham shook his head. "Your people took off."

"They're coming back," Rick insisted.

"To what? Picked over bones?!"

Rick reached out to shove Abraham back. "You're not taking the bus!"

"Do not lay hands!"

"Hey! Stop! Now!" Glenn yelled, getting between them before it got any worse. "Do you really think that you're gonna be any safer leaving in the middle of the night?"

"Yeah," Abraham replied.

"What about tomorrow?" Glenn suggested. "We need each other for this. We need each other to get to D.C. We can get through all of it together."

"I have an idea," Tara spoke up. "If you stay just one more day and help, I'll go with you to D.C. No matter what," she proposed. She turned to Maggie. "Okay?"
