Janelly's POV
Hello I'm Janelly Garcia. I'm 14 and still getting the hang of life. Growing up, I was always adventurous so I would travel a lot obvi and that's how I met my best friend Adriel Delson. I've been having a crush on him ever since we first met. I guess you can say it was love at first sight. Adriel and I were neighbors till he moved away during our elementary years and I never saw him again. A few days ago I moved to Utah with my mom and two older siblings, Andrea Garcia and Isaac Garcia. Today is our first day at our new high school.
"Get up you lazy bum!" My sister kept jumping on my bed trying to wake me up but who wants to get up on a school day.
"Ughhhh, you peasant leave me alone. Do I even have to go?" I pretended to cry in front of her.
"I feel the same way as you but mom said we have to go so get your lazy bum up and outta bed." She yelled before slamming my door shut. It's so early, why should I waist this perfect morning to go to school? I finally jumped outta bed and walked over to my closet. I picked my outfit out and changed quickly so I wouldn't be late to school. Isaac honked his horn, to rush me and my sissy to hurry up. I ran outside and into the car. It only takes about 5 minutes to get to school. Andrea parked the car and I slid outta the car and waited impatiently for them two.
"Whatever you do, don't make a fool outta yourself..." Isaac told the both of us.
"I'm pretty sure I got this." Andrea sarcastically said.
"I agree with Andrea, we'll be fine." I said.
"Not so sure about that but I don't want you guys to be seen with me at all... got it?" Isaac stated and we nodded. We walked in and spotted the main office. A lady handed us our schedules and escorted us one by one to our first classes'. I knocked on the door and the entire class was looking at me like I was gonna entertain them some how.
"Class, we have a new student. This is Janelly Garcia." Everyone didn't really care by the look on all their faces.
"Um hello." I grinned.
"Please have a seat next to Emily. Emily please raise your hand." I walked over to the empty seat next to Emily.
"Hey I'm Emily, you probably already knew that because of a few seconds ago." She whispered. I shook her hand and smiled. As we were about to begin whatever we were doing, I glanced around the room and someone caught my eye. Across the room was a very, very cute boy. I turned back around and asked Emily,
"Who's that boy across the room?"
"Which one? The dark haired one?" She questioned.
"Yeah that one." I told her.
"That's Adriel, I suggest you don't mess with him." She gave a weak smile.
"Why shouldn't I?"
"He isn't really the type of person you would get along with." She shook her head in disappointment.
"Oh."
"You should hang with me and few friends, you'll enjoy our company."
"That would be great thank you."
