The first drawback your quirk often has is muscle strain. When you try to change the chemical compound of larger materials your muscles begin to strain/tighten and makes the area of your body(most often arms/calves) hurt.
Of course you have to touch the object or spot 5 minutes(max) in advance of manipulation. Some times it also causes you to get head aches. :)ehe
