An alarm goes off waking me up, I groan as I cover my ears with my pillow. Angry I get out of bed and decide to get dressed.
I put on some black tights, a grey shirt and a leather jacket. I then pull my hair up in a high ponytail and strap my weapons on to my belt, a dagger with a leather grip and a small gun.
"Morning, BriBri how was your sleep." Alex says grinning stupidly.
I really want to slap him.
"So whats up? Why is the trouble alarm going off?" I ask Max, who is concentrating on a map on the table.
"Hello... Earth to Max. WAKE UP!" I yell at him.
"Oh... Sorry it is just that the whole Flame is a monster thing has got me thinking, what is she." He replies.
Just as he looks up Flame walks in.
"What is that alarm." She asks
I look her, for some strange reason she really starts to bug me, the way she acts innocent was like a cloak to cover up her real self.
"Well I have a question to ask you Flame What are you?" I say angrily.
What do you mean?" She asks in shock.
"Bridget!" Max says glaring at me.
"No no it's okay." She turns to look at me "What do you mean?"
"I mean why do all our radars tell us that you are a monster!" I say, anger starts building up in me.
"What are you suggesting?" Flame replies angry, her eyes start to glow and the room goes warm warm.
"I am not a monster!"She yells and lunges at me.
I grabbed my knife and doge her attack. Spinning around I pin her up on the wall but she is quicker and stronger, she kicks my leggs and sends me spralling on to the floor. My head hits the floor with a crack and my vision goes blurry. I look up and see Alex holding her back and she struggles to get free.
"I am not a monster!" She screams as wings bursts from her back pushing away Alex knocking him out.
Realising what she had done, a single tear makes a soft evaporating sound as it rolls down her face.
"I am so sorry." She whispers touching my head before everything goes black.
