You slammed the door shut. (h/l), (h/c ) hair was plastered to your head, it was pouring with rain and your school uniform was dripping wet.

You stormed up the stairs and into your plain bedroom, today had been boring and all you wanted to do was sit down and relax. Only you have a lot of work to do, so say goodbye to relaxation.

You threw you bag onto your bed and stripped you soggy blazer off. You couldn't be bothered to change into something more comfortable, you'll have a shower before bed that's all you need.

Sitting down at your desk you opened up your French text book and started studying. Hours later, you had cracked half of it, but your eyelids were heavy with exhaustion.

A yawn escaped your pink lips and your (e/c) orbs closed and you rested you head against the table.

"Pathetic, get up cadet, you gotta learn how to punch. Leonhart get your ass over here and show this girl how to fight!" Shadis screamed at your crumpled figure lying in the dirt. You coughed and sat up, wincing because of the pain in your shoulder.

"Gee, sorry (y/n). I hope I didn't hurt you!" Eren said, his green eyes full of worry.

"It's fine, I-I got this, I'm just a bit tired."

"We all get that way sometimes, Shadis seems to be pushing us a lot more than usually. Be carful, Annie is much more deadlier than she seems." Eren waved goodbye to you as he went to find another partner. A hand appeared by your face and you grabbed it allowing the person to pull you to your feet.

"Thanks."

"Don't mention it (y/n), now hit me." Annie said, staring at you. You didn't know what she meant by 'hit me'. Punch her or the air? You slammed your fist into her stomach, she barely flinched.

"Does it hurt...?" You ask, hoping for some kind of response. Hopefully something positive.

"No, not a bit. Your wrists are too flexible and as you hit your target the momentum vanishes. Try to keep your hand clenched tight, a soild shape, the only movement being it coming into contact with the attackers skin." Annie grabbed your hand and moved it, your wrist did seem a bit more flexible. "Try again, keep you fist soild."

You brought your elbow back, legs apart equally and lunged. Annie doubled over slightly, a small gasp escaped her mouth. You smiled, ecstatic that you finally managed to hurt someone!

You turned your head towards Eren who was busy fighting Reiner, Annie's pervious partner. He felt you looking at him and he turned to see you grinning from ear to ear.

Eren smiled back and have you a thumbs up, but it vanished and his eyes widened. Before you knew what was happening you were thrown onto the dirty floor.

"Never, ever, lose sight of you opponent. Only when they beg for mercy." She said bluntly, you frowned and got up. For the rest of the day you practiced, until you could barely stand.

"You've done enough today, I think you've improved greatly. Go get some food." Annie said as she watched you brush down your boots.

"Sure, but what about you? Are you gonna get any?"

"No, I need to practice more. You go ahead (y/n)." Annie said getting into position. You shrugged and made your way towards the dining hall. It was quiet and empty, the warm glow of the candles casted across the room.
