As Wren walked into the party, adorned in her silky white dress, she pondered why she even came. She obviously knew the answer to the question—for Wilbur and Punz—but she couldn't help be mad at herself for giving in so easily. But that's just how Wren was, she'd do anything to make the people around her comfortable, even if it was at her own expense.
She wasn't excited at all, in fact, she was practically shitting herself.
She knew Sapnap would be there, obviously, but she also knew Ki would go as well. She seemed to be the only person at the party who would've rather been literally anywhere else.
"Cheer up." Wilbur spoke beside her. "It will be okay. It's a going away party, you know. Which means there won't be anymore after this."
"I'm good." Wren shrugged. "Don't worry about me, I'm just here to supervise you children."
Wilbur chuckled at her statement, as the pair met up with Tommy and the rest, sitting at a table as per usual.
Punz had opted to go spend the first half of the party with some of the other male streamers, which didn't bother Wren much. She loved Punz to death, but his big brother attitude had been slightly overbearing the last few days, and she was ready to hopefully enjoy the night without being asked if she was going to cry every two seconds.
Wren sank into the chair between Wilbur and Tubbo, listening to the boys around her chat and tell funny stories about the events of TwitchCon.
Wilbur tapped the girls shoulder, "Would like something to drink?"
"I'm okay, Will." Wren shook her head. "I don't drink, remember?"
Wilbur nodded, "Ah, right. My mistake. I'll be right back."
The tall Brit left the table, the other boys around her continuing their conversation until Tommy turned to look at Wren. "So, how are you doing?"
Wren sighed. "Listen, I love you guys so much, but if tonight is going to be a mirage of you guys asking me if I'm gonna cry myself to sleep tonight, I think I might head home."
"No, no. It won't be." Tommy stated. "You're just quiet. I'm just checking, Miss Tid."
"I'm okay, Tommy. I promise." Wren assured. "I'm just listening."
"Okay, okay." Tommy surrendered. "Well, if you're truly okay, then you won't mind me asking if you heard about what happened with Sapnap on the panel yesterday."
Wren whined. "Tommy-"
"You said you were okay." Tommy smirked. "So did you hear?"
"You're a little shit, you know that?" Wren replied. "But, I did."
"Any thoughts about it?"
"Nope." Wren replied flatly.
Tommy sighed. "It's you, you know that. Right?"
"At this point, I don't care if it is." Wren spoke. "Me and Sapnap are friends, and it seems after this weekend, no matter how we feel, it's best if we stay that way."
"Well that's sad." Tubbo muttered.
Wren shrugged and Tommy persisted. "But why?"
"Enough, Tom." Phil interrupted. "Don't force her to talk about it."
Tommy raised his hands in a surrender, Wren smiling towards Phil, mouthing a thank you.
