Ben 10: Marvelverse

Chapter 1: One Strange Family

A young teenage girl was walking down the street from a corner bus stop in a little suburb somewhere in upstate new York.

She wore a black leather jacket, a green t-shirt underneath, and black jeans with combat boots. She had on a green beanie over her long flowing emerald green hair. 

All of her friends constantly talked about how jealous they were that her family let her dye her hair green. Always saying it went perfect with her emerald green eyes. Little did any of her friends know that her hair wasn't dyed.

As she was walking down the street she had her ears plugged and was listening to music. Her favorite genre was heavy metal. She always thought it was kind of funny how that genre, out of every musical genre out there was her favorite. 

Eventually reaching her home as she turned onto the drive way of one of the houses and went in the front door.

She closed the door as she turned to look down the hall and removed an earphone. "Grandma! I'm home!" She called. 

Starting down the entrance hallway she picked up a metal Rubik's cube from off the entryway console table. Looking at the cube it was unsolved. 

She tossed it over her head in the air. It then caught itself just below eye level. Floating there, it then started to twist and turn as if on its own. Still walking, the cube moved alongside her while twisting itself. She looked around. "Grandma?" She called.

A noise came from the kitchen. "Oh! Lorna! Is that you dear?" Someone called.

"Yeah grandma. It's me. Is Ben home?" Lorna asked. 

From around the corner came an elderly women with short white hair and steel blue eyes. "No. He said he was going to be a little late." Her grandmother replied.

Lorna nodded. "Ok. Thanks Grandma Verdona." Lorna said. She then stopped. "Where's ship?" 

Verdon seemed to think for a moment. "I think I saw him in your room dear." Verdona replied. 

Lorna started going up the stairs to her room. Reaching the top she went to her room. 

Opening the door to her room she saw all the pieces of art she drew up all over her walls. Lorna liked to do all sorts of art. Especially drawing and sculpting. She also had a few heavy metal band posters up. A guitar stood in the corner of her room with some speakers. 

Looking at her bed she found Ship on her bed. 

Ship was a black blob of sorts with a green circuit design. He had what looked kind of like a head with a green circle for a face. 

Ship seemed to be napping on her bed. Looking up when the door open Ship saw Lorna and began jumping on her bed. "Ship! Ship! Ship!" Ship cried as he jumped for joy. 

Lorna smiled. "Hey ship." Lorna said as she scratched his head. 

Ship had joined this family about 3 years ago when he tried to find help for the alien that created him. Finding Ben he got them to go and save a techno-organic alien named Baz-l. After saving him he left Ship behind for them. So now he was kind of like their alien dog. 

Lorna laid down on her bed where Ship jumped on her lap before curling up on the spot. Lorna didn't mind Ship as she was more focusing on the cube that was now floating above her head. She was still twisting it until all the colors were in the right positions. Once finished she held it there with her powers. 

Lorna was a special person. She was born with these innate abilities. She's a member of the homo-superior species, more commonly referred to as mutants.
