Be sure to listen to the song, its called Whisper by Evanescence, and I think the lyrics really suit Mitchie's emotions.
Enjoy :D

Chapter 8
Mitchie’s POV
“So, the pack meeting later on…you wanna tell me what it’s about?” Zoe asked from where she was lounging on the floor of her bedroom.
“You’ll found out later,” I answered as I flicked through one of the magazines piled beside her bed. “The stuff in here really is artificial and preppy. How in the hell do you find this interesting? I mean who cares that Justin Beiber got his hair-cut? I’d rather see that head on a pitch fork, with his hair all shaved and burning with the rest of his body, if you ask me.”
She chuckled and got up from the floor and lay down beside me, “I find it amusing when I think that trivial girls and boys in our age group find this mediocre news interesting.”
I chucked the magazine away from me and burst out laughing at her logic. “Wow, just wow.”
She changed position so she was lying on her back, her hands behind her head. “What can I say; there is an inner genius inside of me.”
“And hopefully locked away, because that part of you really creeps me out.” I said, and then ducked quickly when she chucked a pillow at me.
“Seriously, what’s it about?” She said as she lay on her side so she could look me fully in the face.
I sighed and mirrored her earlier position, not wanting to look into her eyes. “You know, it’s just to welcome me back and for me to see how everyone is. I mean, it wasn’t easy staying away from you all.”
“Is there going to be some sort of announcement? Because I knew for a fact that you were hiding something when you last called me.”
I sighed. She was right I had been hiding something at the time. I had been hiding the information about my powers, and how well I was doing at training. But that was only because I didn’t know how she would take it, didn’t know if it would freak her out. This of course makes me feel ridiculous right now because I know she will support me no matter what.
But there was another announcement that Nick was going to state tonight – the warning of the long awaited attack from the Tornado Clan.
I had told him as soon as Derek had calmed me down and I had a shower, and though Nick seemed to take the news well, I knew he had the same worry as I did; what if the attack was scheduled at Lucy’s wedding?
We had all been through so much because of that bastard, and now he was striving to ruin the one event that would help all the pack be somewhat happy again.
“What aren’t you telling me Mitchie? I sent everyone away so that we could talk properly, and you’re just hiding everything from me again. I thought we were closer than this.” I could hear how wounded she felt from her tone, and that was the only thing that made me look up at her, though I regretted it deeply. Because now, I could see just how much the secrecy was hurting her.
“We are close Zoey I just don’t want to talk about it right now. I mean you are gonna find out everything at the pack meeting anyway.” I said as I sat up and turned my back on her, my feet dangling on the side of the bed.
I felt her move off the bed, and that was the only thing keeping me from being surprised when she was suddenly standing in front of me. “I want to know from my best friend, not my She-Wolf.”
