"Please, tell me what hapened to you. I need to know this in order to help you", I said the woman sitting in front of me.

"I can't", she answered,"even if I wanted to, I wouldn't tell you."

I could hear the pain in her voice, and see the warm tears running down her face.I got out of the room, frustrated. I was starting to lose patience.

"It has been a whole week, already", I said to Mia, " We still have not gotten her to speak. None of them did actually."

"They have been through a lot", she said, "we need to take it easy on them."

" I know that Mia, but the boss is getting impatient", I replied, "you know how she is when she's angry. She wants us to get this over with".

"Who would not?" , she said with a concerned look on her face, " her sister has gone missing, and this case seems to have something to do with her disappearance. And don't pretend like you are not as concerned as she is... I know how much Amber means to you."The boss' sister, Amber. The most gentle and the most beautiful person I have ever met. She has beautiful short black hair, her brown eyes, sweet as caramel and her skin , sun kissed and the softness of cotton wool . No one knows about our relationship. We need to keep it hidden, especially from the boss. She is the only reason why I accepted this case. I was about to resign so we could be together, but then, she went missing. I need to find her at all cost.

"Well, yeah. This is why we need to solve this case as soon as possible!  She is one of my best friends, and the boss' sister on top of that..." I said, hidding my face.

I was crying again. Every since she went missing, everytime her name is mentionned, I get frustrated and angry,  it can't be helped. I needed to get away from Mia before she could notice.

" I need to go. See you after lunch", I said, trying my best to hide my tears.
"Ok. See you later", she replied with a worried smile on her face.

"Sorry Mia, but no one must know; not even you", I thought, walking away from Mia. I wiped off my tears and went throught the corridors.

I went to the restroom to wash my face. I looked in the mirror ; I looked terrible. I've been having trouble sleeping this  week because of nightmares. I then went to my office to have lunch and clear my head a bit, but there was someone sitting at my desk.

" Why am I not suprised to see you there, boss? " I said looking at her.

" Maybe because you know exactly why I am here? You still have nothing that could lead us somewhere to the end of this stupid case, do you? " , she said in a serious tone.

She looked tired, very tired. In fact ,I doubt she had gotten any sleep the past weeks. She looked as if she has been crying herself to sleep. Her usually vibrant blue eyes looked sad and concerned. Her long and black hair that was usually well kept was a mess. It hurt me, as she looked so much like Amber that it looked like she was the one sitting at my desk.

" Its not that easy, Emie" I said, " they do not want to speak. There seems to be something preventing them from doing so".

"You know that I hate it when you call me by my name Aaron, it is 'boss' to you , is that clear ?" She said.

Emie and I went to the same university. She was always better than me at everything, but somehow still felt frightened by me. She hates when people other than her family call her by her name. Well, it is partly because we had a non-lasting fling back then too, but this is another story.

" Yes, I know, sorry boss. Well, we don't know what happened to them, but it seems like it affected them mentally. We need to take it easy on them " , I replied.

" Find a way to make them talk. We need to find those who have disapeared ", she said in a severe tone.

"You mean so that we can find Amber", I said.

Amber was not the only person who went missing. There were a number of them, and the only thing that they seemed to have in common was a message on there phone from unknown phone numbers. The message: 'want to play a game?'
Then, no sign of the person. They seem to have taken none of there belongings with them, not even there phone. We tried to track the phone numbers, but it seems like the ' messager' used disposable phones. No wonder Emie is concerned.

" It's not like that, and you know it! I care about the other victims too!", she said.

" Tell that to yourself as much as you want, but I've known you for years. You care for your little sister more than anything. ", I said,"but remember , you are not the only one who cares. We are all doing our best, ok? Do not put too much pressure on yourself. We will do everything we can to find Amber, and the others".

We found a few people a while ago, but no sign of Amber. Two boys and three girls were found in an abandoned house by my research team. They were all covered in bruises and one of them was severely injured and required immediate assistance. One of the girls looked straight at one of our officers and said " the game is not over", before fainting. They were all identified as people who disapeared after recieving the message.

We need to find Amber before it is too late. I need to prevent her from suffering like they all did. What kind of twisted game is the 'messager' playing?
