I'm just chilling on my bed as my phone pings. It's Billy!!
hey do you want to meet up at the park? x
I quickly get up and look at my clothes. ugh i cant meet him like this. i run to my closet and pick an outfit.

I run out of the house to my bike and go to the park.
I see Billy with his dog on a blanket on the grass. i smile and go to them.
"Hi y/n!" billy says happily as he sees me. His dog jumps on me causing me to fall. i burst out laughing.
"Oh- Max!!! Get off them!!!" billy yells but max doesnt listen and starts licking my face. finally i manage to roll away from him and stand up wiping the dog spit from my face.
"I'm so sorry he always gets so enthousiastic with you" Billy says
"It's alright." i say and hug him. he lets out a surprised laugh before hugging me back.
"well let's see what you've got here." i say looking at the blanket with picnic basket
"oh it's nothing really" billy says blushing "i just thought it would be fun to picnic here together."
i smile. he really is the sweetest boy. "it's always fun with you"
billy blushes and akwardly pets max suddenly speachless. i smile
"so what did you plan on doing?"
"i've got some sandwiches so we can eat them together and i've got a few games that we can play but we don't have to of course" billy rambles
"Sounds perfect" i say sitting down and billy sits besides me.
we then eat Billy's delicious sandwiches and play the games that he brought. billy is much better than me and wins the most of the time but it's fun nonetheless. it's so peaceful and i can't stop smiling the entire time. i feel like the happiest person alive there in the park next to the paperboy and his dog.
"Billy?"
"Yes?" he says looking up to me
"Thank you for this"
billy blushes. "no problem"
"I really like you" i say grabbing his hand and billy turns even brighter red
"you do?"
"yes"
"I really like you too" billy says squeezing my hand. i grab his face with my other and lean in. he closes his eyes and when his soft lips touch mine it feels like everything is perfect. like this was meant to be. the paperboy and i.
