Kristina asked Honey to reschedule her meetings with the clients 2 hours later. In the restaurant, they were led by the crew to their table. Kristina noticed that Gina was just from across the restaurant. She told Francis about what she had seen but Francis just kept his mouth shut. "So you knew that Gina would be here?" Kristina asked. "No, not at all, this is just a coincidence," Francis explained. Kristina just nodded and called the waiter's attention. Kristina ordered a beef Wellington, Francis ordered Fillet Mignon. Both of them are enjoying their lunch together, not until Gina comes over to their table with the guy holding her hand.
"Hi, this is the bitch I told you about, Kristina Miller," Gina mocked. "This is Francis Peterson, my ex-fiancee," she continued. Kristina wiped her mouth and looked at the guy who stood beside Gina. The man was shocked after seeing Kristina, "Miss Kristina, I truly admire your paintings," the man said. "Uh, thank you," Kristina said in confusion. "You must be?" Kristina asked, "He's Gerald, my boyfriend," Gina said with irritation in her voice. "I'm Kristina's husband," Francis said and offered a hand. "I am a journalist, is it okay to feature you too for a article?" Gerald asked. "We can talk about that in the proper location, for now, please leave, my wife and I are still having lunch," Francis said.
"For sure," Gerald said and left. Francis handed him his calling card and continued eating his meal. Kristina excused herself and answered the call. "Aren't you jealous about me hanging out with a man?" Gina asked. "You left me Gina, I am silently trying to move on from you," Francis exclaimed. "That is because you did not explain everything to me," Gina said. "That is because you never want to listen to any of my explanations regarding my relationship about Kristina, you never cared," Francis said.
Kristina felt tension as she came back from the call. She called Francis' attention. "Can you drive me back? I have a meeting with the client in 45 minutes," Kristina said. Francis nodded and wiped his mouth, he paid the bill and put his arm at Kristina's waist, leaving Gina dumbfounded. On the way back to the gallery, Kristina apologized to Francis. "I'm sorry I lied about my meeting with the client," Kristina said. "I received a call from Honey that the client rescheduled the meeting for tomorrow. I also received a call from the media head, it was about Gina's scandal," Kristina continued.
"I'm really sorry, Francis," Kristina said. "We are here, I will pick you up tonight, let's talk when we get home," Francis said. Kristina nodded and got outside of the car. Francis drove back to his office and called Leo, his assistant. "Leo, delete all Gina's information in all our database, that includes the backups," Francis said. "Right away, sir," Leo said and left. Suddenly, Leo came back and gave Francis bad news. "Sir, this is just in. Gina is rushed to the hospital, she is badly injured and in a coma," Leo announced. Francis immediately stood up and rushed to the hospital where Gina was confined.
As he entered the ICU room, all of the tubes were attached to her. Francis felt miserable after seeing Gina's condition. He really couldn't let Gina go. He cried all his frustration at Gina's side. Francis called Leo and scheduled his appointments, which included picking up Kristina at the gallery. Kristina, on the other hand, keeps herself busy. She felt something was wrong. She checked all her needed data, the arts she needed to present to the clients, checking time, but all of it was inline with her plans for the day.
It was already 8 pm and the gallery was closed. The security guard had already changed shifts but she kept on waiting for Francis to pick her up; he was nowhere to be seen. A car stopped in front of the gallery. She was expecting that it was finally Francis, but to her surprise, it was Leo. "Miss Kristina, Sir Francis is still at the office, working overtime, I am ordered to bring you home safely," Leo said. Kristina was so disappointed, but she had no choice. She didn't have a car with her in the first place.
As soon as she got home, Kristina freshened up and looked at her room tightly. She began to set up her canvas and arrange her paintings in order. She started painting when she stood at the door of her gallery waiting for Francis to arrive. She finished the painting within an hour. She cleaned her room and kept her things in the cabinet and started to take pictures of the painting. She contacted her assistant about the painting, and she wanted to keep the painting in her showroom.
Francis came home worried because he couldn't reach Kristina at all. He called Nelly and got the information that Kristina had locked herself in her room again without touching the food they placed at the dinner table for her. Nelly was calm about this situation, but Francis was never, even though he knew Kristina didn't like to be disturbed when painting.
It was already morning and Francis decided to take a break from work for a day. Kristina was asleep the whole morning. Francis cooked breakfast for Kristina and unlocked her door from the outside using the spare key from Nelly. As Francis walked into her room, he saw Kristina lying on the floor with a sleeping pill bottle in her hand. She overdosed. Francis immediately picked her up and drove fast to the nearest hospital.
The nurses saw Francis panicking, they immediately place Kristina to an empty hospital bed and attached an IV fluid drip to help Kristina to be conscious again. Francis couldn't contain his worries for Kristina, he never know anything about her. As soon as Kristina is stable, he eventually sat beside Kristina holding her hand trembling. "Sir, I'm here to check Miss Kristina," the nurse said.
All of a sudden, a resident doctor entered the room looking worried. "Doctor Jenny, here's the Miss Kristina's chart for you to check," the nurse said. After checking Kristina's vitals, the doctor introduced herself.
"I'm Jennifer Jones, Kristina's best friend, you must be Francis Peterson," Jenny said. They shook hands, Francis asked Jenny about Kristina's health. "Kristina is now stable, this is not the first time she overdoses sleeping pills," Jenny said. "What do you mean?" "Maybe I can provide you some answers," Kristina said with wide open eyes and stared at Francis. Jenny left.
"If you are curious about me, why don't you ask me?" Kristina suggested. "Why did you overdose yourself?" Francis said, "I am extremely worried about you, the sight of you lying on the floor, I am so affraid," Francis said. Kristina grabbed Francis' face and calm him down, "deep breaths," Kristina utters.
"My hands are tired, I can't sleep, that is why I swallowed the pillls, thank you for rescuing me," Kristina said. Francis couldn't help anymore but kissed Kristina intimately. "I want us to work," Francis said between their kisses. Kristina stopped him and looked at him blankly. "Just because Gina left you, I am here to be your rebound," Kristina said angrily. "No! Kristina, please hear me out, I like you since college, I just hate the idea that we are forced into marriage and I am still romantically involved to Gina; but I promise you, I want to work things out," Francis explained. "Please give us a chance," Francis said.
