"Nothing begins and Nothing ends, That is not paid with a moan. For we are born in each other's pain, and we perish in our own. - Francis Thompson"

All of my life I have been tossed around from one bad foster home to another. I have been put down, pushed around, beaten, abused and used and I have come to terms with the fact that this was my lot in life. I have learned how to survive on my own and look after myself and to never ever get attached to anyone. Because when you are as unwanted me and you let yourself get attached you will be setting yourself up for disappointment and heartache.

So now that I am being bounced into yet another foster home I don't have my expectations set to high after all It is only a matter of time before this rejects me too, after all they always do. I wonder why this family even wants me? Maybe it's so they can treat me like a live in maid like the Henderson's or for the free childcare like the Greene's. Whatever the reason it can't be worse then the last place I lived. I thought to myself as I peered down at the scars  that ran along my arms and wrists (some self inflicted, some lasting reminders of the abuse I had suffered from in previous homes) as I shuddered at the unpleasant memories of my last home. It was just the latest in a long string of abusive homes.

"Okay Bree, We are almost there." Miss Parks said pulling me out of my thoughts. "Now want you on your best behavior Evans because the Grier's are actually really nice people. Besides this is probably your last shot at finding a home. If you don't make this placement work it will be back to Sunnyville for you and you will be marked as a hostile child, and it will be impossible to place you again once your marked as a trouble maker. So I suggest you don't try to pull your normal shit with the Grier's and just keep you mouth shut and do as your told, or it will be back to the orphanage with you and you will be stuck there until you turn eighteen. Do I make myself clear?" My social worker Miss Parks asked me as she turned into a neighborhood that was filled with nice big brick houses and fancy cars.

"Yes, Ms. Parks" I mumbled as I turned to gaze back out the window just in time to see us pull up to big two story brick house with rose bushes , a minivan, and a pick up truck parked in the drive. Miss Parks put the car in park and began gathering up her things then climbed out of the car. I grabbed the small duffle bag that contained all of my belongings and followed her to the door.
