The roll of dice, the shuffling of cards, things she was commonly associated with. Said to have millions of worshippers all over the earth, yet she wasn't a god.
Atheists wouldn't believe in a god, but they believed in her.
What was she, really?

"It seems Lady Luck has smiled upon you... in the nick of time I suppose."
Kat had a slight smirk underneath the black curtains of hair that obscured her eyes. Casino chips clattered as she grasped her winnings with a pair of sickly, pale, stick-like arms. She never raised her head, not as she was addressed by the moderator, and not as her opponent, in a fit of rage, desperately lunged at her.
Everybody looked and everybody watched as a crystal chandelier, hanging majestically from above, detached itself, its sharp bottom planting itself firmly within the opponent's torso like a wrongly spit pig. Between the gaping mouths and wide-eyed stares, the girl sweetly declared the game over, requesting the moderator to cash out her winnings.
Her audience broke into panicked screams, the staff struggling to keep their clients at bay as the moderator, fumbling, dialed 911. Kat looked up at the chaos in her wake, strands of hair falling to reveal one of her brown eyes, gleaming with pleasure just imagining the green just a moment's reach from her grasp.
"Ah! Now, this is fun!"
A short, tan-skinned girl materialized before her. Brown hair with strands of blonde slithered around like coils of snakes. Her lucky-green eyes glimmered with childlike excitement. Grinning, she threw her arms around Kat's torso, who returned the gesture by patting her head.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it," Kat replied, a softer smile gracing her face.
"Was the chandelier dropping too much?"
"No! Not at all actually."
"Ok!~"
And there they stayed for a while, as the sound of police sirens and shouts rang through the air.
