Just as the title says. It's been a whole year back home.
School has started up again and it sucks!!!
It's 8th grade, and all we're learning is stuff from last year.
Oh well...just means I don't have to pay attention.
Me and my parents were heading up the mountains for the week.
It was winter break and we had 2 week off from school.
"Kyo..."
I look up to my mom who was in the drivers seat
She was smiling brightly and seemed as though whatever she had to say, was too good to hold back anymore
"We have a surprise for you up at the house"
That's right. We own our own mountain house. Jealous? :3
I smiled at her "Awesome. What is it?"
Yeah I know she said surprise, but she'll tell me anything
"It's a new-"
My dad covered her mouth with his hand, cutting her off
"Shhh!!! You're going to ruin it!"
My mom giggled "Fine..."
I shrugged and went back to reading manga.
Every single book in my possession was sitting in the back seat with me
The ride took 3 hours and I take 30-40 mins per book
What better way is there to waste time?
Anyway...when we finally reach the house, it appears the rest of my family is already there.
"Shit..." I say under my breath "didn't know everyone would be here"
You see...the only relatives of mine who like me, are my cousins. All the adults cept my Grandma hate me
Something about me being a bad influence *shrugs*
When I get in the building, I'm attacked by multiple hugs as well as peircing glares from the adults
God! Adults are such children at times
When all my cousins are finished squeezing me to death, I go to greet the adults like a good child
Why do they hate me so?
"Hi Aunt Karen, Uncle Tim...(other random family names)" They all just nod to me as I pass by
There such jerks
The last person I go to is my Grandmother, since she's the one who doesn't hate my guts
"Hey Grandma!" She turns to me with a smile on her face
"Kyo darling! How are you? You've grown so much since I last saw you"
Typical family talk (With her at least)
"Great. And I had lots of fun while I was away in Japan"
"Really? Tell me all about it?" she sat down and motioned for me to go on
"Well..." I explained everything. Well...nothing having to with shugo charas at least
By the time I was finished, almost everyone had gathered around to listen.
Even the ones that didn't like me (AKA most of them)
We then went on to dinner. It was only December 21, but everyone was busy Christmas so we were doing the family gathering today.
That means...Presesnt!!! Well...in my case, MONEY!!!
None of the adults really cared what I liked, so they just let me choose it myself
Great system, huh?
Anyways...dinner went well until Lucy noticed my charas
"Oh my gosh Kyo! What are those?" She pointed directly at Jamie, Taku, and Sketch
The other kids started laughing at her "There's nothing there Lucy. You're just going crazy"
She huffed "Am not! There are three little people floating behind Kyo!!"
I laughed nervously "I don't know what you're talking about Lucy. There's nothing there."
She pouted and crossed her arms
"Lucy's gone crazy, Lucy's gone crazy!" her brother Kevin taunted
"Did not!" "Did too!"
"Did not!" "Did too!"
"Did not!" "Did too!"
Their mom slammed her hands on the table as she stood up "QUIET!"
So much for a peaceful dinner
They instantly shut up, but Lucy looked at me still curious
I sighed and mouthed to her "I'll tell you later"
Thing is...I never got to tell her
"Kyo!"
I walked over to my mom. She and dad were putting there coats on
"We need to head out to the store for food for tomorrow. We're staying all week, so we need to go shopping"
Thank god! The rest of the family left tomorrow night
"Is that all mom?"
She shook her head "Could you come along to help out? We're gonna need all the help we can get"
I smiled and slipped my coat and boots on "Whatever"
After that, we all loaded into the car heading for the store
On our way, it started snowing...badly
It became harder and harder to see, so dad decided it was a good time to stop
"We'll just pull over and wait the storm out ladies"
He started to pull over, but another car came speeding down the road and slammed into us
We were shot right off the road and were spiraling down hill
"MOM! DAD!" I screamed as the car got tossed around
Mom smiled weakly "Don't worry sweetie. It will be alright" she said in a shaky voice
That was the last thing I remember before blacking out
