At dawn, the sun showered the streets of japan with warm and gentle rays of sunlight. Its orange glow painted the skies, almost giving away into the sweet embrace of darkness at night. The city was booming with sound, of course not comparable to the rush hours of the day or the frantic party hours of the night but still relatively busy. And among these hours, the students of a particular high school were leaving the campus grounds off to rest for the rest of the day as tomorrow was a weekend. Well, at least most students were going.
But some students would remain in class for different reasons. Of course, some had club activities, others had study groups, some didn't have anything better to do, and some had something special to say.
At the side of that particular high school known as Akademi High was a cherry blossom tree, a unique tree, beautiful and elegant, an extremely captivating sight to behold, that is for sure. Its distinctive pink leaves and its perfect position on top of a high school hill made it possibly the most beautiful part of the entire school, maybe with the garden of the gardening club being a close second.
There was a rumor around that tree, a very particular rumor that if one were to invite their sweetheart to be beneath the Sakura's tree pedals at sunset if they were to confess their feelings. Then their feelings of the confessor shall be blessed with eternal love. Guarantee that you will not be rejected and can be with the one you desire the most.
A silly rumor, quite a childish one but the thing about stories is that they jump from ear to ear, making even the most logical of individuals question themselves.
???
- "Is it truly real?"
Quiet like the wind that blew against the tree leaves, a girl with jet black hair stood straight as an arrow looking in doubtful of the mighty Sakura tree. She was a fine, looking girl, reasonably tall with pale skin. Her hair was tied in a ponytail, sharp bangs thrown to the right, with two strands of hair reaching her shoulders. She played with the hair nervously, trying to calm herself.
She shuffled nervously on her feet. Her white navy sailor uniform, complimented by her red tie, seemed to hide a bit of her unnerving motion. The woman closed her dark grey eyes, her hands firmly against her blue skirt, her grip so tight she might even be griping a bit of her high black socks.
The distress in the girl became visible as she seemed to bite onto the inside of her cheek, her eyes closed with force. Her face betrayed her desire to remain calm under the cherry blossom. What could cause such worry and tension on this student's shoulder? She seemed about to pop, her heart was already pounding so hard that it wouldn't be strange for her to explode.
???
- "Please, please be true...I beg you."
The girl pleaded with the tree before her ears perked up. Then, her attention completely shifted, and so did her feelings, a wave of relief washed over the girl as she heard the sounds of small gasps of air out of a voice she knew very well. He was here behind her, the love of her life, the one that was the cause of all of this tension and her passion. She turned to face him, her eyes wide as they took in his beautiful visage, his short black hair a bit messy for the usual, maybe from all the running, his light skin glistening against the orange sun, his charcoal orbs gazing at her. Her greek statue wrapped in a black high school suit.
The girl
- "Senpai-!" - She parted her lips to speak but was quickly interrupted.
Senpai
- "I know... I read your message words are not needed anymore... let me show you my response through actions."
A man of his word, he closed the distance between him and the girl, his hand firmly wrapping around her waist, pulling them closer. The flower petals danced around them. The boy placed one hand gently behind the girl's back, parting his lips as he closed in. The girl could not believe it was confirmed he loved her. He wanted her and only her. Her heart was going so fast it would almost seem like it would flat line, and as she parted her lips, wrapping her arms around his neck, their lips were to crash in a passionate kiss.
