Love Rules!

To whoever wrote the book of love...thank you... for putting in great  rules! My name is Kayla McCloude and my love life is completely awesome because of you! I read it and I listened. I didnt know that a book could teach you so much. Let me tell you how I went from love-less to loveing.

 

FLASHBACK:2 MONTHS AGO 

Back in November I was cool. I wasnt cool like hanging out with the popular kids cool but I knew people. I was really desperate into finding a boyfriend but I wanted one. All of my friends had one and I felt like the third  wheel. My little sister's best friend told me to read this book called "The Book Of Love: 10 Secerts To Finding A Guy." and I read and I guess a little of it worked. The first rule was to let him notice you. I was really into this guy named Josh Rivera. His tall and tan. He had big muscles and great cheek bones. His smile was amazing and had the prettiest blue eyes that you could swim in. How would a girl like me get a guy like him to notice me? The second rule was to ask his friends about the things he liked. Now Im really shy. His friends all play football and have girlfriends except Josh. He's dating but not taking so after I read the first two rules I took action.

The next day at school I totally got some stares and whispers. Boys were staring.Girls were whispering. I didnt know if I looked good or bad so I was really nervous. I was wearing a skirt (for the first time) with my hair out and straight (first time) and a white sweater. I guess people were surprised. I guess thats a good thing. When I saw Josh I stood up tall and went to him. 

"Hi Josh. I'm Kayla. You may not know me but I'm in your chemistry." I said smiling. I reminded myself of Rachel from Glee.

"Uhh I hi. You look different. I mean that's a good thing. You look-pretty." he said.

"Well thank you. You look cute as well." I said.

"Umm so not to be rude but why are you talking to me? I mean because you never talk to me. And I never had the guts to talk to you." he said

"We are talking now right. I just wanted to ask if you wanna go to the movies Saturday?" I asked him. Oh gosh why did I do that?!?!?

"Yeah sure. Isnt tomorrow Saturday?"

"Yeah. So pick me up at seven." I wrote down my adress and number then walked away.

I cant believe I just did that I told myself. After reading to chapters of a book I already felt good about myself. I didnt think that he would say yes! The rest of the day I was smiling and jolly. I didnt care if people were looking and talking about me I had a dat it felt good!
