Peter had a hell of a morning. He was woken up by Clint throwing a pretty hard pillow in his face because Steve was making pancakes for breakfast.

And because of the delicious pancakes and the fact the Peter needs to eat more than the average human because of his metabolism he was late for school.

And Flash just was- well Flash. Annoying as usual. Peter's pretty convinced Flash is just obsessed with him because he won't leave Peter alone.

It was finally the last period of the day and Peter was so ready for it to be over. He forgot about a history test they had that day, and he spent the entire night out patrolling. Not to mention the stab wound he got two nights ago on patrol that was super sore and left a scar. Peter only ever got the occasional scar when the wound cut deep. He had a ton on his abdomen. He makes sure to always wear a shirt during gym class to 1. Not show his abs that developed the day after the spider bite that changed his life for better or for worse, it's debatable. And 2. to not show the scars he has from being stabbed almost every week. Sometimes he's stabbed in the same place so when he heals it looks like he hasn't gained a new scar.

To make Peter's day even worse the gym teacher announced that they were going to start the physical testing AKA the Pacer, the Push Up Test, and the Crunches Test. Ugh, amiright? Peter hated physical testing, it's just so pointless. He'd rather do anything else.

This was a school for science/engineering, half the school were nerds! What do they care about physical health? They need to study to get into a good college and be successful scientists working for Stark Industries.

This year though, there are a bunch of football players on the team. So maybe Midtown High is getting more competitive in the sporty area. Ya never know.

MJ immediately went to the bleachers to read, and no one, not even the teacher stopped her. Because- well because she's MJ, she's scary.

Peter and Ned got into a pair to start crunches. Ned went first. Ned got the average amount for someone his age in the five minutes they were given. Then it was Peter's turn.

Peter had a lot of energy and could probably do ten times the average amount in the five minutes given, but he kept his usual slow pace to not raise any suspicions. And he got just above average. He hadn't even broken out in a sweat yet.

Next up was the Push Up Test. Again, Ned went first and got the average in the five minutes. Then Peter went he got just above the average.

Now it was time for the Pacer. Again, Ned went first and got slightly above average, which is what Peter was aiming for, but during his turn for The Pacer, he got lost in thought about what he would do later that day, and he unintentionally went faster than humanly possible, but Peter wasn't human, he was super-human. He didn't realize that he had already passed 200 and everyone was sitting down, catching their breath and watching him in shock. And what made Peter realize, was that he actually started sweating in PE, he never sweated in PE. The only time he sweated in PE was before the spider bite. He stopped in his tracks in the middle of the gym, and slowly turned around to be faced with all his classmate's eyes on him. Except for MJ of course. Ned was wearing the most concerned look on his face and Peter realized why went the dumb announcer voice for the Pacer Test said, "268."

This was not supposed to happen. Peter was supposed to look like the average teenager. He might have just blown his cover.

"What the hell Parker?!" Flash's voice rung through the entire class.

Peter let out an awkward laugh, "I ate some really healthy pancakes this morning, I guess they gave me more energy than usual??" He didn't mean for the end of his sentence to sound like a question.

"Well, uh, the bell is about to ring in like five minutes you guys should start to pack up. Peter, I want to talk to you after class," The teacher said. Uh oh. His cover was so blown.

Ned walked up to him, "Dude what was that?!" Ned violently shook his hands, forgetting that he also had an open water bottle in his hands. It splashed all over Peter, and I bet you know what happens when a shirt you are wearing gets wet. It sticks to skin. And that little mistake that Ned made, totally defined Peter's abs. Gasps rang out through the room, but this wasn't an unusual occurrence, Peter just ignored it not realizing they were gasping about him.

Without thinking, Peter took his shirt off. More gasps, "I just got lost in thought- I didn't realize how fast I was going." Peter's voice rang through the gym because of the silence from his classmates and he looked around while he got a new shirt out of his bag. All eyes were on him, on his scars, and on his six pack.

"Oh," That's all Peter could get through. He quickly put his new shirt on while the bell rang. People hesitantly shuffled out of the gym, still looking at Peter.

Peter made his way over to the teacher and murmured, "You wanted to see me, sir?"

"Have you ever thought of joining the football team? We could really use someone with your speed out there." The teacher answered him with no hesitation.

"Uhh, not really my thing, sir," Peter had never been one for sports.

"Well, I'd like you to think about it, son. I think it'd be great for the team and great for you. You'd make a bunch of new friends. I've noticed you only hang out with Ned and MJ,"

"Umm, I'll think about it I guess, but no promises," Peter wasn't even going to dwell on it a second longer as he made his way to the parking lot. Football was definitely not his thing. And he was happy with just Ned and MJ, they were great friends.

He saw Happy's car and happily jogged over. Peter just wanted to go home and tinker away with Tony.

there will be a part 2 to this chapter! :))
